I figured with the 25th Annv. Figs due anytime, we should start showing some Chicago group effort.

Ive been able to track down the target DPCI for the single carded figures. Does anyone know the DPCI for the 5Packs?

Im not going to get many multiples, maybe two of each of the SnakeEyes and Storm Shadows, but I know I will want 5 of the troopers....got to get an updated army for my Terror Drome.

I cant wait for Wave II and III....Serpentor, Firefly, Zartan and another Cobra Trooper!!!!!

Scored a few of the single carded figs from a Walmart way south of the NW burbs.

Dont remember the name of the town, was just out for a drive and got lucky. Damn are these figs amazing!!! Thoe only weird thing is the Cobra Trooper is bald when you take off his helmet.

I scored some Joes today. I got Jaye, a few Cobra troops, Beachhead, Serpentor, and Snakes w/ white Timber. I could've got Buzzer too but due to budget constraints......


Buzzer's saw looks awesome. And he has little skulls on his boots. I'm not crazy about Serp's colour but I dig the redesign of his costume. And he's got a damn sword too!!!


I grabbed an extra Serps, & Cobra troop. I had a Lady Jaye but she's spoken for already. Figured I could hook someone else up rather than leave them for scalper scum.... What I'm looking for is in my sig.


I found a VvV Snakes for $2 at a Family Dollar. I thought I might have solved the V2 sword/scabbard issue but he doesnt have a hole on his back. I'll figure something else out....

Hey Flash!!! Wave 3 is hitting already too!

Found wave 3 this morning at a Target in Joliet IL!!!!

Sgt. Stalker was the yellow camo version. He is a repaint of Snakes but his hands have folds like gloves which sucks cause they are supposed to be bare hands. It looks stupid!

Zartan's face was half one colour and another in the package.

The paint job on the Red Ninja is damn awesome.

Shipwreck looks better than the prototypes but still mad about that closed fist. And he didn't include his rope hooks but has 3 guns....

Firefly is damn cool too.

Cobra Officer is a back in the mix too.

This is crazy cause I just found wave 2 a week or two ago....

If you're looking for single carded figures check the Target in Skokie on Touhy. I was there at 4 pm and saw fixed crotch figs. If you need Flint, Beachhead, Lady Jaye, Red Ninja, Serpentor, Hooded CC, Trooper, Firefly head there now. They also have Forces of valor Team Bravo figs and vehicles.

To those of you that are new, I guess I should specify...

I NEVER post where exactly I find figs. There are too many people that watch these boards and horde figs for ebay and never help any others out.

Those of you I have helped in the past or have helped me know I will always help a fellow collector.

I actually gave my Wave 4 and 5 to a friend...all I need out of Wave 5 is Crimson guards.

I did find a few CGs and an IG Destro...Ill post pics this weekend.

I am from Southern Illinois as well, Edwardsville, Collinsville, Fairview Heights area.
Collinsville and Fairview Heights Wal-Marts have zero Joes while the Shiloh Target has several single packs and many of the Legions boxes. The single packs are Beach Head, Firefly, Buzzer,Stalker,Serpentor,Zartan Shipwreck and I think Lady Jaye.

I am constantly searching both those Wal-Marts as well as the Edwardsville Wal-Mart and Target in case you guys are searching for something in particular. I still need the following:

Flint
Cobra Officer
Cobra boxed set (not the Legions)
I also would like some more CG's and Air Troopers.

I've been waiting on some mail myself which was sent on the 15th of Dec. I think it is pretty much lost.

So I want to ask the opinion of the boards...

Lets say someone hooked you up w/ a brand new wave of joes at retail and was willing to ship them to you. The items were sent over the holidays and 5 days after the items were sent you still hadnt received them.

The seller was in communication w/ you the whole time and was going to get tracking info for you as well.

Would you open a claim w/ paypal that fast?

The seller on the boards is well known and has traded and hooked up others in the past....

Im just looking for thoughts? Im a bit angry about this but want to know if I am out of line.

Peoria Il, looked at 3 Wal-Marts, our TRU and Target and zippo. TRU especially, they have never stocked much of anything, they've had the same 2 Lady Jaye figs hanging there for at least a month 1/2...

I've been able to find the Comic Packs (Duke, Snake Eyes, Destro, Scarlett, Dreadnoks) but Wal-Marts haven't stocked any new single packs in quite some time and Target seems to only be getting Wave 3 singles in for some reason...

I found a complete Wave 4 over a month ago but haven't found any of the Wave 5 stuff yet...

I just went to the Edwardsville Target this morning and all they had were some wave 1 comics and one each of Shipwreck, Buzzer and Firefly. No wave 5!
I also hit Edwardsville and Collinsville Wal-Marts and all they had were wave 1 and 2 comic packs. Picked me up a Breaker/Destro pack. The Collinsville Wal-Mart also had several empty pegs for single packs so I am guessing (hoping!) they will have some real soon.

Walmarts have only been getting the comic packs around me. The pegs with singles are still barren with no signs of peg warmers. Which is good.

I am still wanting to know which wave they will be getting. It scares me as wave 4 is no where to be found in abundance, yet walmart has all this figures on order.

Wave 4 glut at walmart will not be a good thing as they are just 5pack releases.

If it's wave 5, then it'll be good as it's a nice wave to troop build and custom fodder.

Finally! Wave's 4 and 5 show up in Central IL! I found all of both Wave 4 and 5 except the 2 different Destro's between both Walmart's in Bloomington

Today I hit the Collinsville Wal-Mart and lo and behold they had one Cobra Officer, two Troopers and a Buzzer. Needless to say the only thing left hanging after I got done with it was Buzzer. This was my first Officer so I was estatic. My son and I each got a Trooper.
To satisfy my curiosity I went to the E-ville Wal-Mart and they had two wave 5 figures...CG and IG Destro.:)
My son got both of them. :(
My wife just went out and checked O'Fallon Wal-Mart and they had some figures from waves 1, 2 and 3.
For everyone in this area check out your local Wal-Marts as it looks like they have finally restocked (though it looks like others have already beaten me to any other wave 5 figures!).

Went to two Targets and Walmart in Skokie tonight. I only saw Wave 1 Comic Packs, Beachead, Shipwreck, Stalker, and a whole lot of Buzzers. I wanted to get some for customs but decided to save my money for the next wave. I usually can't walk out of the store without picking up a figure or two.

ARG! I still haven't found Snow Job, CG, etc wave! Tons of extra wave 3.
No more CP wave 2s at all. As expected wave 1 CPs are warming the shelves. I'm guessing none of the stores will restock until those sell. Maybe I should hide them somewhere else & see if they restock something in their place.

I live in the Metro-East St.Louis, IL area and have been lurking these boards for a while. I still can't find any wave 5 and decided the only way I might is to stop lurking and ask for some help. I've seen some of the collections posted in this thread and kind of understand why I can't find them. Any help with wave 5 (especially CG's) will be much appreciated. Thanks, $B

Well just a piece of advice, using one of your first posts to both ask for help but then take a very clear stab at someone who has helped out anyone on this board that has asked for it isnt the smartest thing to do.

I am the only one to show pics of my collection and even though you think I am the reason you cant find CGs, you are not even close to my neck of the woods.

Incase this is seen as an attack, its not, I just really dont appreciate being called out when I always go above and beyond to help fellow collectors out.

BH I think you are jumping the gun here. I don't think he was taking a stab at you but commenting how cool your CG army is. Therefore he realises why there are so few CGs left. Because everyone wants them.
Well I've never seen this wave yet either. Seems like lots of wave 3 is making it more difficult to restock newer waves here.

There is no Movie pack. The pack that has replaced the movie pack is being called "GI Joe Fan Favorites".

There were copywrite issues w/ the DVD so they had to pull it...

I wish we could have seen more new figs but hey the Trubble bubble and BAT made my day...but not my wallets.

The Bloomingdale Wal-Mart had one Battle-Damaged Snake Eyes/Hooded-Caped Storm Shadow 2-pack on Friday night. And, that was pretty much it. I think they had one Shipwreck, too.

The Winfield Target (across the street from AMC Cantera 30) had a crapload of the single-carded 5-pack Dukes, Roadblocks, Scarletts and Gung Hos Saturday night. I mean, an obscene amount of them.

I just found wave 5 remnants, wave 1 and 2 comic packs, and a lot of 5 packs at Granite City K-mart. Their prices are really high compared to WM, but that was the first time I had seen wave 5 at retail. Hopefully, that means there will be more in this area soon. Anyone spotted wave 6 at retail in Illinois? At least I know if you get them up north that it won't be much longer before we see them around here.

Not in Collinsville. I actually found two at the Fairview Heights K-Mart just last night to go with my one lonely CG (trying to build up to five). The Collinsville K-Mart did not have wave 5 but did have the wave 1,2 and 3 pack that has been coming out (The one with Serpentor, Buzzer, Stalker, Red Ninja, Cobra Officer, and 2 Cobra Troopers). I grabbed the Officer and left the others hanging.
I am going to check the Collinsville K-Mart again this morning before I go to work in the off chance they restocked with wave 5 (especially since the other K-Marts around here have).
Wal-Marts and Targets have been mostly wave 4 singles and wave 1 cp's.

Right on heatviper! I still need a few more to complete my collection as I only had one for the longest time (now I am at three). I have had my brother up in Springfield, IL checking his stores as well for CG's. I told him get as many as he can as I knew others who needed them. Unfortunately he has had no luck and actually ordered his wave 5 from BBTS.
By the way everybody check their stores on a daily basis. It looks like someone over in St Charles found some wave 6 late today. Hopefully we will be hit this weekend.

A buddy of mine scored some Wave II from two different walmarts in the NW burbs today. Said both stores has a case of each, he grabbed both sets.

im not sure what wave it is but, The most recent figures I seen on shelves of wal-marts or targets were the crimson twins, wild weasel/Ace, Scar Trooper/ Crimson.. & as far as single packs .. all I seen were the ones that have roadblock, gung ho, scarlett...etc... I have yet to see snow job, black snake eyes or any from that wave... are we really behind or what??... & no dreadnoks either... where they at???!!!!

If you need the Dreadnok comic pack you could pick up a Crimson Guard/Scarface comic pack and we could trade. The Dreadnok one is all over the place down south. Let me know if you want to trade.

Believe me Wave 1 and 2 for 08 are out, they are just coming in one case at a time so its all about timing..right store at the right time.

Ive found both waves at retail myself...at Walmarts mainly but scored some Wave 1 from a Kmart and a Target once.

If you need a dreadnok pack, I have two. Id either sell it to you retail or trade for a Fred/Scarface pack or 2 single carded Crimson guards.

Also I have started a thread in the custom boards asking which customs I should submit to the Joe contest. All your votes and feedback would be very appreciated.

I passed up an IG Destro last night (found 2 @ Elmhurst Sears Essentials), but grabbed 4 more Crimson Guards (Villa Park Target), and 3 more Air Troopers (Elmhurst WalMart). Otherwise, the same old, same old.

At the Streamwood Target at the corner of 19 and 59 there were 2 untouched cases of wave 5 singles and...1 of each noks, destro/breaker, twins, bd se/ss, ace/ww, and 2 of fred/scar comic packs. This was at 1:30 today.
