Latest update in post #22.
As some you may know I have been working on a female Cobra trooper for some time. My very first attempt used a Bombstrike torso, but I had too many problems with parts compatibility. My second attempt was with a version 1 Scarlett torso. It was coming out nice, but again the choice of heads would be too limited. Because of that I began my third attempt using a Jinx torso.
I have the torso about 90% complete. Some sanding and a little amount of work around the gun are necessary. I also need to do the straps on the back, but those are very simple.
The attachments below show me current progress. After the torso is complete it will be time to paint her up. I am using regular trooper legs, Zarana waist, and Jinx arms. I don't plan to make any modifications to those. I still haven't figures out what to do for the head yet.

Side by side comparison with a male trooper, and with all the parts.

I've got the mold ready, and the first piece made. The second pic the part is painted blue. The paint I used is old so it left some lumps, so those are the paint and not part of the piece.

Looks good. She's a bit shorter, apparently it's the waist piece that dictates the height? I couldn't tell if the torso is shorter too.

The waist is much shorter, and the torso is slightly shorter.

Finally got around to working on this again. I decided to use an actual female head and give her a removable helmet. The head in nearly complete. The back of the mask needs sanding and the connection between the pony tail and head needs to be made. I've also done some cleaning up of the torso, but that's not pictured. All that really remains now is the straps on the back of the torso, the belt on the waist, and the helmet. I don't know what type of style I want to give the helmet yet, plus helmets are difficult to do, so I might not be finished with it when I consider the figure completed.
heck yeah! keep the updates coming man.. shes coming along nicely.

The head and pony tail are complete and the torso will be down very shortly. The first picture is just a rough portrayal of what the figure will look like complete. The other three are pictures of the head. The prototype piece looked nice, but the casting has a bunch of minor defects that I didn't even notice until I looked at the pictures. I don't have flesh colored dye for the castings right now, so I can't to paint the flesh color on. It's just a rough cover job, because its not the way it will be done later on.
A note, the torso pictured is an old casting before I made changes to it, and is not the one that will be the final product.
edit: A second note, I am also working on a male trooper to update the thin body, swivel neck vintage trooper. I tried sculpting a helmet for him but am having a lot of difficulties, so I don't know what to do for a helmet on this figure.

you know head wise you could try and use the night stalker heads they would work perfectly. tho I like your one too . the torso is looking sweet .

I tried them. The necks are too thin and don't look good with the body. And the ball needs a lot of modifying because it doesn't stay inside of an ARAH torso.

ah i see . well best thing to do for a helmet is maybe use somthing like a thimble to make the basic shape and mold from . then add extra detail once the main body of it is a lil dry but not completely dry. I've only done minor stuff in greenstuff before so I don't have the experience you do . but its my best guess on it . hope it helps cheers dude can't wait to see the final product

I said the torso would be ready very soon and here it is. As with the last pics, the legs, waist, and arms are from a regular trooper and are there just to show about what it will look like complete. The last piece I really need to do work on is the waist. I'm using a Zarana waist, so it will take some modifying. Since I'm casting all the parts, I won't be able to finish the custom completely, because I don't have the tool for putting the arms together. I will however be selling some torsos very shortly on eBay, so keep an eye out.
edit: Next on the agenda, as stated earlier in this thread, I am updating the '83 trooper. I don't like how thin the body is compared to later Joes, and I don't like the swivel neck. It will be based off of Hardball's torso. I will be doing two versions. One with straps, and one without.

Wish I could have seen how this turned out in the end. I feel like an alien waiting for the end of "Single Female Lawyer".

Still a work in progress, because I decided to make many changes. I'm currently at a roadblock until I can get a piece of equipment I must have for casting. I do have updates that I never got around to posting here, so here you go-
