I just picked up a Joe set for the same price. I went to 5 targets today and it was the only non-legions set that I found. They've also got the forces of valor bravo team Abrams on clearance for $20 (reg. $30).

I also picked up a couple elite force figs. for $2.48 a piece! I hate these figs but I can use the heads, hands, and gear for 25th customs. Plus it gets them the hell off the joe pegs! :-()

As for the Elite forces figures, they're only taking $1.50 off around here and there's still 4 pegs worth at all 3 stores so I'll wait till they reach $1-$2 before I start buying any up.

Yeah I got one last night too for 17.84.

I only wanted it to get the Cobra vehicle driver, Air trooper, and Cobra trooper. Cobra Commander looks lame. What's with the black and silver gloves? I wish i knew how to take heads off cause I would certainly replace his head and make a Cobra general or something.

Also why is 5 pack trooper in a red mask? But in the single pack he has a black mask.

yeah that sounds about exactly what i want.
3 total legion packs with "simple swap" red sigil troopers (swap jet pack trooper legs/gear with single card wave 2 trooper), and give the third JUMP pack a green paint job and let the joes share that (between flash and stalker mostly)
add a couple CG's plus the one thats coming in the springfield comic pack, and i'm DONE.

Did you check another isle? I know the targets here relocated and consolidated all of their clearance stuff. They may still be there, but just in a new location.

Some Targets try get ahead of the work load and will start the markdowns on Thursday . They will be donr by Friday morning generally. I used to find all kinds of stuff hidden by people waiting for the next mark down.

Shipping charges vs picking them up in-store is a HUGE factor for me. Plus I only saw them cheap for a little bit, then it seemed they jacked them up again. Now I can not even find them on Amazon at all.

And I bought 11 Legions packs when Amazon discounted them so heavily, but now I'd like some more on the cheap, and Target seems to be the place to go (at least some locations).

In my area, no Target dropped the price down from $17.48, yet there are few to be found anymore. I guess the managers see them sell at that price and decide not to cut further

I would like to do tanks and such, but I just don't have the space...so I personally just stick with the figures, but if you have the space, I would say go for the tank and a few less packs...

Yeah, I haven't found any of the Legions sets since Target marked them down 50%...but I haven't checked any stores in the last few days either. People are free to buy what they want, in the quantity they want, and do what they want with it...

Agreed!! I fully intend on buying all the Legions packs I can get my hands on at $6.24 and selling the Cobra Troopers, SS, and CC if possible which will pay for the Air Troopers and Stinger Drivers that I will keep. I sold 4 of the loose Legions figures and 4 from the Original Cobra Pack on eBay before the sale just to keep as many Stinger Drivers and Red Emblem Cobra Troopers that I could to build the army.

What ever you do, don't but them at that target for $24.99 and then try to get a price adjustment at a different target. They do not give price adjustments on clearance items.

This is easily taken care of. Buy them at the $12.48 price and then return them to Target with the original $24.99 receipt. Rinse and repeat as everytime they clearance the packs down.

Also remember Target uses generic skus. It doesn't matter if it is a Legion 5-pack or a Joe 5-pack, you can return either one with your higher value receipts. If at the end these packs get down to 75% or 90% off and all that is left is the Joes, buy the Joes use those to get your money back on the higher receipts. This works each and every time. Do NOT ask for price adjustments, just use their own return policy.
