I know that there have been threads already regarding what vehicles we will see this year, but I thought I would ask a slightly different question.
If you wish, you can include vehicle choices in the topic, but I was wondering what you think the "plan" is for the rest of the year.
I, for one, think that Hasbro is going to stick with smaller vehicles and a figure to keep prices low. I can't say for certain which vehicles, but I would hazard a guess that we will see a variation on the VAMP/STINGER with a new paint job (not original), possibly a SKY HAWK with new paint job, at least one large plane (Rattler? Skystriker? F-18?) and a helicopter (most likely the Dragonfly). Possibly another tank tread vehicle (Armadillo?) and maybe another watercraft.
I also believe that we have seen the formula for the vehicles from Hasbro. Vehicle/Fig, mostly new paint schemes and mostly repainted figures. So I would say we are going to get that same formula for the rest of the vehicles with only the most "iconic" colour schemes remaining (ie. blue rattler).
What say you guys?

I think the Star Wars line is the best gauge of what we will see. We will see vehicles in the $9.99 range, and larger vehicles as store exclusives.

I love the V.A.M.P. mold, and hope we see a version of it this year. Another great vehichle along these lines is the Hammer. It was later in the line, but I think it was fantastic, and I would like to see a new version. I think we will see a Trouble Bubble, and hopefully a Ferret. Also I bet we get a new,or remodeled F.A.N.G.

Vehicles = WIN!
I could care less what we get. Vehicles = WIN. Bottom line.

I think we will see the vehicles depicted on the 5 pack box art. What are these you ask?
1.trouble bubble
2.serpentor with air chariot
3.Zartan with swamp skier
4.rattler
5.night landing
6.ferret
7.moray hydrofoil
8.Crimson hiss tank
9.Destro with despoiler
10.Mamba
11.Killer whale
12.terror drome
13.Night raven
14.the black cobra version of the mobat
My thought is there is no way the art choice is totally random, when there are hundreds of vehicles to choose from why these, UNLESS................

After I buy a couple HISS and a couple AWE's, and throw in a SHARC for Torpedo I will already be happy.

I think we will see the most iconic and popular classic vehicles, whether reissued or new molds based on the originals. I doubt we will see all new designs until the movie hits.

I was just thinking that an awesome addition to the 25th line would be a Tomahawk. It was such a great toy, maybe my favorite vehichle.

There's a lot of stuff I'd like to see get released again in stores but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. A major factor being what molds of the original RAH Hasbro still has that are intact and complete. A good number of everyone's favorite vehicles like the Skystriker and FANG were also lent to other countries like India and were heavily damaged. I mean just look what happened to this year's con vehicle exclusive. One piece of the Mauler's molding components is broken and the whole thing is canceled.
Now there are a few things I DO know Hasbro has from recent re-releases in years past, but as for the stuff that hasn't been heard of since the 80's . . . I'm not holding my breath.

The only problem with this thinking is that the art from the Defiant is also on the back of the 5 packs......I highly doubt we're getting the Defiant.
However, I think we'll see small to mid size vehicles. The Ferret will probably come out since it was released with a recent con set, so the molds are still good. Depending on how well the first few vehicles sell may dictate if we get anything the size of the Rattler (The last one they released sat on shelves for years!)

I think the problem with that rattler, although i own one is the color scheme as well as i thought it should have been available at all the major retailers not just tru. I think color scheme was a big problem with the tru moray hydrofoil as well. If either of them had original paint or something cool like a subset paint scheme like python patrol or sky patrol, these would have been hot sellers.

No the problem is that no one else but TRU wanted it.

While I agree that was a big contributing factor to the lack of sales, I also think the colour scheme didn't help. It was just a horrible choice of colours and it really didn't do anything to make the mold more attractive.
The past "Rattlers" have sold fairly well due to limited numbers and more realistic paints schemes (barring the original colours). This was just plain weird colour choices.
However, back on topic, I will stick with my original assertion that we will see smaller vehicles with a figure.

yeah i seriously doubt we will get a terror drome.
although last night i had a crazy dream that i went to the store on base and they had a TON of new 25th stuff including wave 6 and on the top shelf sat a boxed TERROR DROME! then i woke up. literally.
i really hope we get a dragonfly. that way i could put 25th wild bill in there and buzz the kitchen while yelling "YEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAWWWW!"
my wife would love it. :D

I still say the small Battle Stations or Battlefield accesories would be awesome.
But as far as vehicles go, I'd love the Conquest X-30, A blue Rattler, the sky hawk, the silver mirage Motorcycle and last but not least the Ferret

I posted this in another thread but here's what I'd like...
F.A.N.G
APC
DragonFly
Skystriker
An accessory pack with new weapons
25th anniversary collectors case
S.N.A.K.E. - I think they could do an awesome 25th version!!!
Zartan's swamp skier
C.L.A.W. - Again they should be able to make this much better.
Sky Hawk
Stinger
Flight Pod
Silver Mirage
Cobra Night Raven
Snowjob00

There is no way they would re-sell the killer WHALEs. I doubt very much they will do anything large. I am hoping for sky hawk and vamp type of vehicles at best.

I agree that the above list is probably a really great gauge of what we can expect to see in 2008- or thereabouts.

Actually the main reason a lot of fans didn't buy was because the rear canopy was removed and the frame retooled just so a "new sculpt" figure could fit inside, and the addition of the sound attack electronics/wire, which ruined the aesthetic in many fan's opinions. The white paper backing on the stickers also turned people off, because everyone favors the transparent stickers more.
I see Hasbro taking a conservative route on vehicles with a wait and see approach. Basically, if a big vehicle is popular, I expect it to have a fighting chance, just not the big, unpopular and obscure vehicles. Definitely think more smaller and medium vehicles, but I think a few larger vehicles will make it. I think it all has to do with what tooling is left, and how popular the vehicles are. This is a line that is driven by an older demographic now, so whatever vehicles you guys want, let Hasbro know!

After taking a closer look at the new Snow Job figure (on another board), if you take off his hood and remove his accessories (skis, etc.) and paint his beard black, you have a very passable Frostbite. That could lead to a release of the Snowcat again with driver?!? Possible?

See!? Further evidence that Frostbite was just a rip-off second rate Snow Job! ;-)

Very wise (and probably correct) assertion.
Hasbro, if you folks are listening, I'd like to see the Wolverine again with accompanying 25th style Cover Girl. For some reason I always liked her best of all the female figures Joe has produced over the years.

It is being that the Snowcat was used just a few years back.

So I am calling it right now!!!
A Snowcat is in our future w/Frostbite!!!!
Ok, maybe I'm just hoping......
Although, there is a lack of "snow" vehicles ;)
