Why is Flint usually priced high?

When I see Flint selling on eBay and BBTS he is always priced high. Why is this? Is it because he rocks or something?

I'm still not seeing him... I did find him last week at Wal-Mart however. But I need another so I can open him up and put him on display, and a Cobra Officer. I hope I haven't missed my window. :(

Of all the figures in the current revision waves I've only seen him twice while I've seen the others constantly.

I saw two Flints just sitting on the pegs in Toys R Us yesterday. If I'd known anyone here still needed him, I might have picked one up.

I wouldn't mind finding another Cobra Officer myself. They had them for a time on the Joe Club store site, but I was holding out to buy the Mauler at the time.

I'm not too worried. You can get one with the Fred Broca CG in the Comic 2-pack. I can always buy a second (if I can find one).

I'm using my Air Troopers without Air Trooper gear as Officers, which is the purpose of the extra helmet. I haven't seen the single carded Cobra Officer in a while now, not since the revision cases started shipping. The last three I bought, I got them on eBay. Now that I've started focusing on Legions Troopers and Officers, I'm trying to get back what I paid for them.

I know he is somewhat rare but is that because everyone wants him or just cuz he is short packed? I got one when they first came out and got a second one in a case assortment, but other than that, Ive never seen him.

I know this is supposed to be about Flint, but I have only seen two cases of wave 1 since they've arrived in my area. I was lucky enough to pick up the first one. All that was left of the second was SS and SE. All I've seen since is wave 2. I've seen enough hooded CC and Serp to troop build them as Cobra grunts and Coil, respectively. Bringing this back to topic, I've only seen one.

He was included in one of the short lived wave 3 revisions, i think rev 1.

I saw Flint quite a few times from mid-November through mid-December but I haven'st seen him in almost a month now. I think those revised cases he was in already stopped shipping. Hopefully Hasbro will send more out so the people that couldn't find him still have a chance.

i 've picked up two flints and at the time i questioned my judgement. i always disliked flint for his over saturation in the cartoon. i haven't seen him since i found that second one. good ole k-mart blessed me with an officer last week-end. i don't think i have ever passed on him, but i have on the cobra trooper several times.

I think that Flint is just seen as this uber-cool hero and awesome leader and also, for the cartoons, he was featured so prominently.

So, I think the excitement for Flint is the same now. Duke has been somewhat been bastardized with 24 releases now (not including the plethora of Sigma 6 releases). Since 2004, there has been so many insane releases of Duke.

But Flint has always been for me a cool character and I think that as a first wave release, for people who will be starting late (like myself), collectors or scalpers know that there is a need.

That being said, I definitely want a Flint...but I'm not paying over $25 for it (at this time).

Kidding..Saw the PDD auction on ebay for 25 grand and I wonder what people are really thinking when they put these things up for bid..Didn't someone pay 1 grand for a flint recently? Ouch!
Then drive to your local walmart to pick up some ice-cream, and some dvds just to see bada bing bada bam! flint sitting on the peg with a yellow sticker that reads $4.88. Talk about overkill..
But its weird, some people still cant find him and I am trying to trade off my two extras and no ones wanting to trade. Such is life, I guess..

Right before Christmas I saw Flint going for astronomical prices on the internet, but I found him everywhere. Most of the stores are still bare from the holidays, but I'm about to go looking for the latest wave at lunch. I'll see if there are any out there.

I found one on eBay the other night for $6.95...it was from a local seller, too. I was very excited as I didn't really know about the 25th anniversary figures right away and missed the boat on the 1st wave.
