LOL! I just instinctively chose hair dryer and then saw that a lot of you also did. I have a theory.....maybe he super heated all of the Cobra troops and officers with his ultra powerful and equally evil hairdryer and it was so hot that it burned/singed all of their hair off! This explains why all of the Cobras are bald (at least for the 25th figs).

I was a complete novice to G.I. Joe when I bought the cobra 5-pack so I had no idea what the gun was.

My best guess was it was a poison-injecting gun of some kind, what with it not having any place to shoot lasers and all. Also it better explained the weird grill pattern.

It's a pretty small company and we're all around the same age, but I'm the only one participating in the 25th Annies. The movie is a hot topic.

It's neat that most of our company-wide emails consist of Ironman trailers, Xbox news, and YouTube videos...but I've been a long time removed from my "Cool guy in a band" lifestyle!!!

Well, thanks to everyone for participating. At this point, our guy at least understands why we won't be asking him his thoughts on the movie! LOL

(p.s. I included the hairdryer option in response to his "what does it look like to you?" I said no global terrorist would ever be taken seriously if he just hopped out of his Trubble Bubble w/ helmet head.)

I remember when I played Joe as a kid, COBRA Commander's innocuous-looking little laser pistol could shoot a beam that could blast through a tank, the troops behind it, the trees behind the troops, and the mountain behind the trees...kind of like that laser in "Real Genius."

I remember getting this when I was 7 and thinking even then that the "laser pistol" would've made a damn nice hair dryer for my sister's barbies if it had been a little bit bigger and had a cord. I had to vote for "hair dryer."

He's right, back in '82-'83 every toy came with accessories made of lead. Don't you remember? All those kids who would puts toys in their mouths died. The lawsuits dominated television for a while. Hasbro sent representatives out to personally collect every little gun they ever sold, and made sure to wipenthe whole thing from the records. My family is still living large on the hush money.

Strangely enough, I still have my Asbestos Punch He-Man, although a few years ago, I had to sell off my Steak Knife Voltron.
