Hey Guys I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with Joe Armory's shipping time and condition of contents. I've had the wrong parts, broken parts, and now damaged parts purchased from them. I mainly buy parts for customizing so it is frustraiting waiting 29 days for a few loose parts. I know GTG and Aly can take a while but they have to make it and only ship a couple times a month.
Does anyone knoe of any other Gi Joe looes parts dealers out there?

It is a nice site but it does not have many pictures or newer accessories/parts for customizing. I need to see the item. I don't want to look up every item on my own. I still may try it out. They did say free shipping.
Gi Joe toy box is a similar site with great prices but most items are sold out. Maybe I just need to communicate with the Joe community more and work with trading even though it may take as long to get stuff. Brtween my roomate and I we have bags of fodder and parts and I feel like every collector has the same.

I bought from Joe Armory quite a few times and had no problems. Shipping was a little slow, but since the new site has been up, shipping has been in a reasonable time.

JoeArmory.com is run by one guy named jon, aka "Zombieguide" on most joe site(on Joecustoms mostly) he sells most extra stuff that he has gotten over the years. i have order once from the site and had no problems. and at joecon I meet him in person and he was quite nice and picked up some stuff there. he is one of us so email any problems to him. and they should get resolved.

I've waited for a month after I've made my payment just to get him pack my stuffs. Has he shipped them to me only god knows. Communications after I made my payment are really pain in the arse. I'm still waiting for my order so I hope I'll get what I've ordered.

I hear ya. I did contact him before I placed my order. He got back to me within hours. I asked a question about shipping status in a very nice manner on Dec 10 and here it is Dec 20th and nothing. I understand that it is one guy, a collector like us but I feel paying good money for parts that end up broken from poor packing or never were in good shape to begin with is a rip off. I think Charley here would disapprove.

I too have had deals with Zombie, but I was the Seller. Very nice individual. I'm sure that he would be happy and willing to resolve any issue you may have, Mike. Communication is key, so definitely contact him with any issues you may have.

I agree...I'd contact him. I'm sure he will make it right...everthing I heard on him on the boards is that he is a stand up guy.
Shoot him a message.

Zombie has resolved my earlier problems. I have placed 4 orders in the last year. The last one I have been waiting a month for like the previous orders. I have had a problem with every order. Missing parts, broken, and damaged pices have left me frustrated. I started this to see if anyone else has had the same experience. Getting a refund for a dollar part is not the same as getting the part I want for a custom or to complete a figure. I'm sure he is a nice guy I have never said otherwise and I am not trying to bash him. I just don't want to waste my time and money on something I may not get or be availible when I ordered it.

john/zombieguide here!
i post my phone # on my website, so anyone can contact me anytime. i think im the only joe dealer online that does that.

also, mikes item was damaged upon arrival and ive replaced it with $50 store credit as agreed upon.
i do strive to take care of everyone i deal with and will stand by my integrity 100%. to my knowledge, every person ive ever dealt with has come awat content, and if not, then they didnt approach me to have whatever the issue was resolved.
anyway, yes, i am one of the joe gang. anyone needs anything, let me know. call me, email me use carrier pigeon, or whatever it takes :)
my wife and i have two brick and mortar businesses, so i typically work on joearmory.com in the early morning, or the late evening. my wife is a photographer, which means in november/december we are BEYOND busy. that in addition to the long lines at the post office means that i take more there less often.
anyway, any questions or comments, drop me a line!

I only started this to figure out if anyone else has had a problem with your packaging & shipping. I never lied or misrepresented any of our transactions. I did say that you have resolved all of my issues which would not have been issues if you just shipped your items better. I wasn't even gonna bring up my last problem in a public forum because you resolved it. I wanted to plaster these pics all over the net but my girlfriend talked me out of it and made me deal with you first. But you brought it up. This issue is dead to me. I can't get my damaged item replaced or find it anywhere to buy. This is the last you will hear from me about it. The following pics were taken by me two days before Christmas.

Hey Mike,
I'm not angry at all, or trying to start any sort of conflict :)
If the item arrived damaged, I must replace or refund the item. As a business owner, I MUST take care of my customers.
I'm just letting anyone know that reads this that if there is/was/or is ever a problem with me that I will do what I can to fix it, that's all.
You and I are cool as far as I know, and I do apologize again that that item was damaged in transit. I do get new items in all the time, and the next sheet I get, I'll be sure to give you first dibs on it, with a better tube this time!
Also, I typically send all accessories and figures in bubble mailers and rarely have anything reported broken. Based on what you've said though, I think I'll invest in some rolls of bubble wrap to further protect items within the mailer.

please excuse my interruption; my wife has a hobby/ebay business and uses usps for all her shipping. you can order all the usps prioirity shipping boxes, all the various sizes you want for free. they deliver them to you as well. 99% of the time i use usps priority just for this reason. that and delivery confirmation is simple to add to this service online.
for delicate items you can pick up rolls of bubble wrap from most dollar stores. any person can order supplies from usps, you don't have to have a business.
please disregard this if this is common knowledge.

Oh yeah, I typically order cases 10 at a time so I have a nice selection. I also get my tape, DC and customs forms all dropped off at my place.
I also include DC with each order.
In this particular case, Mikes poster was damaged by the structural failure of the box. It looks like some one beat the crap out of it like those guys in Office Space did the fax machine. In fact, you can even see a piece of wood sticking out of it!
I sell movie posters as well, and have for about 15 years (25,000 in stock!). I've always used Priority poster boxes for shipping one sheet posters and have rarely had a problem, but there are always expections unfortunately.

Nah, no need to apologize! We're all on the same side here.
Yep, we were upset too, they ruined a nice piece.

Joe Armory is good in my book!
I've only dealt with John once and it was directly through his website. And from my own experience, he is good for it because of what happened with my order.
Sometime last year I think, I purchased a 1988 ASTRO-VIPER full card backing and a few other ones that I was wanting for my personal collection and project. Well upon receiving the pkg (shipping was kinda slow) the full card that I had wanted was not included, and I received a basic file card that was already cut instead...
At first, I wasn't sure what to think because shipping wasn't exactly prompt but that wasn't really what bugged me. It was the purchase that I made, and having the wrong item sent to me had me a little worked up!
Anyway, I did contact John about the situation and he DID resolve it right away for me. Even though the post office had lost the pkg (with the correct item) in the they're mailing system! Because I remember contacting John again about the delay, and after it had finally arrived... and judging by the scuff and scraps that was on the outside of the pkg... I had realized what the pkg, with the correct item, had been through. LOL I know because I used to work for UPS, and they have a very similar mailing system for smaller parcels and pkgs of that sort! haHa
So all in all, I was relieved and very happy to finally recieve the correct item, and didn't care about anything else that went wrong or had happened! Because he DID make good of the situation and resolved the problem, after I had contacted him...
I'm really glad he was able to take care of you though Mike. That's really good to hear...

I ordered about $25 worth of fodder from JA. Paid using Paypal. Items arrived within an acceptable time limit. However, some items were missing. My reciept showed that a refund for SOME, not ALL, of the missing items had been processed. I had no refund in my Paypal account.
On Nov. 11th, I contacted JA about the mistake, listing in detail all of the items I had been shorted and what my total refund should be. In this case, it was $5.23 I should have had coming to me.
Later that same morning, I recieved a cheery enough e-mail from JA telling me that he'd "look into it", and that he'd "be in touch".
On December 2nd, I had had not heard back from JA, nor had I recieved a refund. I wrote another e-mail saying as much.
It is now December 5th. I still have not heard back from JA.
Granted, it's not a ton of money, and it wasn't a huge order, but it's the principle of the thing. The site came highly recommended and I was taking them on a trial run.
It might be a fluke bad experience, and I'm sure with the business volume the site probably has that he has bigger customers to deal with; but I would just be cautious, that's all.
If things get settled, I'll post to the board.
Edit: This afternoon, December 6th, I recieved my refund. I can recommend you buy with confidence from JoeArmory now that everything's been taken care of on my end.

+10 for Joe Armory.
After reading the previous posts, I can understand the concern. I too wondered about the shipping time (it came media mail so that was understandable), however John/Zombieguide came through. Everything was exactly how it was described and even a small issue was resolved quickly.
I spoke with John on the phone and let me tell you, he is a solid guy. He was willing to go the extra mile for me and do some looking around for specific items I've been trying to find. I'm not going to hesitate in dealing with him again.

I recently purchased some joes from Joearmory and although the shipping was slow and some pieces were out of stock, I was issued a refund for the out of stock pieces and was happy with the joes I did receive.
