GI Joe The Movie dubbing?

I watched GI Joe The Movie (1987) with my son today. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. It was the first time for my son to see it. I was curious why Yo Joe or any reference to GI Joe was dubbed over with "Action Force".

G.I. Joe is known as Action Force in the U.K. You must have that version.
