The A-10 Thunderbolt II mysteriously stolen last month from an US Air Force base in Spangdahlem, Germany has recently popped up in these two pictures released strictly to CNN in an unmarked package. There is little we can tell from the badly edited pictures other than the fact that it is indeed the A-10 reported stolen, that it has been stripped of all USAF identification and that it is being accompanied in the pictures by a yet unidentified pilot.

The only other item in the unmarked envelope sent yesterday to our studios is the following letter:
“People of the terrorist US government…no longer will you steal form the common man and use his hard earned currency to fund your private wars around the world. No…now we, Cobra will turn your own ill gotten gains against you, the very tool that you use to terrorize the world will now be unleashed upon you.
You will hear from us very soon…
Cobra Commander”
US Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates nor his staff were available for comments concerning the recent threats and theft.
We did reach the office of G.I. Joe commander General Hawk and were informed that he is preparing a press statement for later today but is currently not commenting on the letter untill it has been verified by US intelligence.
Although claims of an underground terrorist organization known simply as “COBRA” have been denounced by the US government repeatedly through press releases and interviews, CNN has gathered information linking many recent terrorist attacks around the world to this yet fully unknown group.
