The guy in the store I got mine from said (I think) that they wouldn't be getting another delivery of them until some point in the future. I forget the exact details but I want to say he said it would be in the Fall and then again at Xmas. I think that's what he said, anyway. He was kind of mumbly.

I found my first DG figure yesterday. Got Storm Shadow, didn't see any other ones. I really want a Shipwreck or some of the Cobra Troopers if I could find a few. It seems I missed the first wave come through the three DG stores in my town. They are all really close, but I just wasn't diligent enough about checking.

My dad has several that are around him, and he managed to get me Snake-Eyes and Shipwreck, but he cannot find Storm Shadow at all and he has been going to several of the locations every few days trying to get SS.

I haven't seen a single wave 2 DG joes in my area. A few of the stores have the wave 1 in the St. Charles, MO area.

What's in Wave 2?

"Wave 2" as it's erroneously called, is just Wave 1 in different color schemes. SE in green and black, SS in white and orange, Cobra Officer in traditional Cobra "shoot me!" blue and yellow, SW in olive drab, Duke in a different green and I want to say CC is blue.

Hasbro has said we aren't gonna see them until they've got distribution A.J. Squared Away.

I've never seen any signs of a restock in western pa. Still hoping though and checking regularly. If they want kids to get these they really will need to flood the stores with them. That would get the scalper's out of the hunt too.

I have 11 stores within 20 miles of my house. The week these came out in May they all got them and were gone within a couple days. I know all of them have never restocked. Hope this whole debacle gets resolved and they restock at some point. Sounds like not that many actually were ever shipped...

I am in Kansas City, travel for work so i stop a every Dollar Store i see. I found a complete set about two weeks ago, traded most of them off, now only have Shipwreck and Snake Eyes. Not sure if it was re-stock or they just took forever to stock them. I have two stores that have my card and said they would call if more came in, said it was easier to call than to stock. I guess i will wait and see.

I just found and bought all six at a DG in Lafeyette, IN. They rang up $6.00 but I got them for $3.50 each. I have been searching all Dollar Generals that I come across here in Indiana since they came out. I'm not sure if they were a restock and the checkout lady didn't know either.

I finally found five of the six at the DG in Noonday, TX while visiting my parents the day before yesterday (Thursday). The only one missing was the Cobra Trooper but I found him the next day at the DG in Frankston, TX.

Well there may not be as many joe collectors in a concentrated area as there is in the big cities.
Therefore we have a better chance.
Me I have checked four and scored at all four.

Interesting that there are still some out there in the wild, gives hope. It seems like most of the findings are in the middle states and texas mostly, the distribution is weird to say the least. I am in the tri-state area northeast which encompasses new jersey and nyc and i have only found 2 sets, one of which was upstate new york on a drive up to my country property. I mean i own a route and drive around for a living so i pass DG's all over new york and jersey and its just dry as a desert round here.

It was explained to me by someone I trust that it's cheaper to bring stuff into the country via the Gulfport states vs LA or NY, and Texas has a very huge port in Galveston/Houston. That could explain why the middle states have been getting them more then other states. The DG Joes were first found in Oklahoma. Shortly after that we were finding them all over Texas. I know I put my hands on at least 7 sets and other local Tankers were doing really well too. Thankfully myself and others were able to help other Tankers who could not find them. But now it seems for the time being they have dried up here. Fingers crossed that the distro issues will be fixed and we eventually see the repaints.

I've only seen one single CC (passed), and eventually gave up wasting gas searching. Tried ordering through a store manager, and nothing ever came in. I would love to get at least one of that black trooper. If by chance someone has one for trade, please let me know what you might be looking for. (I've had a lot of luck at Walgreens lol)

Last Saturday I found Dk, CC, and SW in Labadieville, LA and SS, CC, and DK in Paincourtville, LA.

I bought complete sets from these stores in early June. I don't know if these were restocks or not. None of the stores in Baton Rouge have re-stocked.

BTW, one of the Duke's I got last weekend is on a beat up card. If anyone wants a loose one send me a PM.

I just took my DG Joe receipt in that had a correct item # on it to my DG Manager. (they asked me to bring them the # to make certain it was the correct item)

They tried to look the item up for me on the computer. I was told as of now, the item is now longer available/Discontinued. It does not show any in the warehouse. No further information was provided.

I had left my name with a manager who called me last week. A new "case" had come in. Since I live in a small town and I believe only 2 trucks service all 7 of the stores here (per one of the drivers), I began checking yesterday. Only one store of the 7 got a restock.

You are lucky and should jump on that. I can tell you that between 5 guys that live in Northern Arizona, Southern Arizona, Oregon and Southern California, no one has had a restock.

Good luck on that happening, we all know how much retailers love G.I. Joe. Even if they got some store to place an order, I doubt we'll see them before the Holidays. I don't know why Toys R Us doesn't jump in on this ca$hcow. I'll gladly pay $7-8 for these over $10-11 for Retaliation figures. I miss the days when TRU fully supported the G.I. Joe brand.

No they didn't ring up at $3.50, but I did show the cashier the peg they came off and she confirmed that they in fact were on sale and said that the change just wasn't made in their system yet. She over rode the system and charged me the $3.50 each.

Na, I'd say something. I worked at a gas station back in high school, I know how much it sucks to have your drawer be short at the end of the night and have it taken out of your check lol.

I honestly wasn't trying to screw over the store, the figures I got were on a peg marked $3.50, I didn't throw a fit or anything when they rang up $6.00, I just said they were marked lower. The cashier checked the peg and said they were on sale but the system wasn't updated yet. It may have been true or she may have just not cared enough to look into it further. I highly doubt anyone will lose their job or have to pay out of pocket because of it, so I'm not really concerned lol.

You realize getting the figures for the $3.50 price point, will show them selling combat heros, not the full size figs. So they will order more combat heros, not what you want.

^Correct, the cashier just did a price override, so the scanned figures were still accounted for and not the Combat Heroes.

Got another set today. The manager who has been helping me with orders at her store found me a case at another store. She called the manager at that store and had that case put on hold for me.

On my way to go pick up the case I drove by a DG truck. Just found that kinda funny.

I just need to find a Dollar General Store in SoCal that isn't a 50+mile drive.

I'm not surprised these are popping up again. It's midsummer and most retailers are prepping for the Holiday season. Remember toys only sell in the summer and Holiday Season.

I just hope a fellow 'Tanker' from Arizona can hook me up again if (Wave 2) the repaints start showing up.

I hit 2 of 4 local DGs yesterday after work. I found/got 1 full set of Joes at one DG but the other DG had nothing. The DG I found the Joes at never had them before either.

That storm shadow is one of my favorite modern joes yet. I dig it. Shipwreck would be second in this set, dig him too, actually had a custom started of that one, now no need.

no one wants to pay those ridiculous prices. there is a woman in my area that got 2 sets in my area and she is trying to sell them on craigslist @ $95 a set plus like $20 shipping. She still has both sets, lol.

Agreed. I paid 80 for a set on ebay, but it was for 8 figures (2 extra troopers that I traded off). I felt 10 apiece was fair, since I didn't have to drive around to find them. But more than that is pushing it....

I was lucky enough to get the set for $3.00 bucks apiece, they were marked wrong. Now the stores around here have them marked correctly at $6 apiece. My wife surprised me with two dollar general joes today. I was surprised how they looked after seeing the ones on ebay recently. I looked online and found these are from 2008. I got Ace and Dusty, they have no weapons or anything and are on super small cardboard. They also have no joint articulation just like the Retaliation vehicle drivers. The newer ones definitely look better then these.

Nah, was just curious to see what you had. :) IIRC to dollar store figures from 2008 were all "new sculpt" figures, which had full articulation even if they looked a bit goofy at times. Hence my curiosity when you said they had crummy Retaliation driver acticulation.

Full set of DG joes found in central PA area! Scooped them up at six bucks a piece. Much better than the 13 a piece which is what they were trying to sell them for at the steel city con. Not sure if these were out for a while or just put out. I hadn't been to this DG in about a month.

One of my 2 hometown DG's put out a second shipment on Friday, so I've scored 2 of the black trooper's from there, and then my wife's hometown DG actually put out TWO cases of a second shipment so I've picked up 3 of the troopers from there as well. I did also get some of the other guys too and have shared the loot with a couple of fellow tankers. Seriously though, I walked up that isle and saw 12 figures and thought I was in a 1985 K-Mart Joe section!

Anyone finding them on their own designated pegs? The one I found was just hanging on an available peg with none that actually said "GI Joe" on them. Once DG gives them an official home on the wall, we should hopefully see more and more of these.

I found Snake-Eyes, Cobra Commander and Shipwreck about 4 hours ago in Stafford, Virginia. Cards were kind of beat up, so these will be openers and the three with cards are probably going on EBAY.

Fredericksburg VA Just found 4 for the first time at Lee's Hill DG.

They were hidden behind some western figures. I almost walked by with out checking behind stuff. Got Duke Shipwreck Cobra Trooper and Cobra Commander.

Whoever got Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow must have hidden these for later pick up. Sorry if it was a tanker.

Will check the other Fredericksburg DG's as this one is usually behind on stuff, and last week they were all empty as well.
