I went to my local Target were they had just finished doing their reset. I looked around and noticed they had no more Joes. I asked and was informed that GI Joe was no longer in their system. Is this happening nationwide?

Not at the Target here...yet. But Walmart says that they will not have GI Joes until Feburary 2013.

It's not surprising. What would they put on shelves? They aren't getting any new Joe shipments for 5 months, so they can use the space for other product.

It's gonna be dry for a while, but all will return for the movie next year, so don't freak out.

TRU, Rite Aid and Walgreens still have lots of Joes. Plus I'm sure TJ Maxx or Ross will have stuff... I mean those Jungle BATs, Python Crocs and Hawks have to be somewhere right?

Joes aren't on the new reset sheets, I've been talking with the different store managers about it since they started working on the new shelves the other day. Everything is basically wheeled into back until corporate decides what they're going to do. If an item (like the 3-packs) had already hit clearance stickers, they'll typically leave them out on the clearance endcaps.

Everything wheeled into the back is still full prices, btw. You're not missing any deals.

Great, more room for better products. Like the new Halo 4 line.

The jungle bats and hawks showed up here in Canada in massive numbers. We got case after case of that wave here in Canada. We still have CCs and Blowtorches from that wave clogging shelves. My TRU put out a new case or 2 of that wave every week for 3 or 4 months.

FYI reset is supposed to be done by Sunday iirc, I could be wrong, but that's when I was told new toys would be out(not Joes).

Here's the problem I have though.. If my Target wheeled their Joes into the back until Febuary that means that when they come back it'll be full pegs of Snake Eyes and Roadblock, that's all my Target had left.

That's when you buy all the Wave 1 figs, and return them at a different store. That way, all the new figures can come out of the back room and onto the shelves of your local store.

I'm using this Joe drought to stock up on the new TMNT figures which I just scored at Target!

Otherwise will be hunting for odds and ends on ebay, stuff I missed, etc...

SERIOUSLY? What would happen if you just acted in a normal way towards the situation and went some place else to shop instead of pulling this move??? This is the same move in my book as buying and repacking!!! Now it's just buying and repacking some other store's shelves. Just wrong.

I mentioned this on another thread, but the other day I walked into one of my local targets, and found 30th Zombie Viper, Sci Fi, and Law & Order stocked on a peg beside the leftover Retaliation figs. They looked case fresh too, hardly any wear. I frequent this target and they weren't there peg warming for months either. However, they scanned "item not found" at the register. Could these have been returns or back room finds? I can't believe someone would return these particular figures, all of which are not known for peg warming. Is it possible they will be getting some 30th and POC figs to fill the gap like TRU seems to be?

Honestly, does this really matter? Nothing new is coming until the movie nears... so what's the point?

Maybe I'll conserve some gas. Now that DCUC is gone, Star Wars sucks, I've sworn myself off of Transformers... This just helps me remove temptation to look at those other brands.

I expected we'd have a drought any day now.

The Collector's Club will come through.

Eventually.

You're right about that, but since I've only been back into Joe collectin for a few months, the crap is treasure to me. Bring on those 30th and POC Joes to fill the gap, I say.

Well a decent amount of ebay in the future I do foresee for myself. Fill in some of my Marvel Universe holes and some other things...

Just a real kinda' dismal year with GI Joe being so hit/miss and then Marvel Universe not doing a wave until August(wtf).

No Joes anywhere until next year. Sucks.

As if G.I. Joes were on the pegs in the 1st place before Retailiation. After ROC Joe got the biggest shaft from retailers. Majority of us got tired of not finding anything and started buying online.

I hit up a few Targets today and only one pulled G.I. Joe off the shelves. Another one was the same-o, same-o and two other Targets completely restocked on 3 Packs. I'm talking 8-12 sets on the shelf. I've also been seeing the Crap Ripper and Ninja cruise mobile. I'd really like to get a few more 3 Packs at clearance but I don't see it happening.

I saw Joes red-tagged at Walmart this evening, so yeah, I guess we'll be going the next 5-7 months without GI Joe at retail.

But with my area, it won't be anything new. As is, my local Walmart only got 2 or 3 cases of single figures, and nothing else. Hell, The Corps still had more retail space than Joe (and I'm quite doubtful the movie delay had any impact in THAT decision)

No, no.

I assure you that there is ocean property available in Texas, even as far in as Dallas.

Could I put you down for a couple of acres?

Thought you said BETTER? Those figs look nice but aren't terribly poseable and break easily.

Yes, they're carrying the entire cartoon line but none of the classics (at least as of now). You can buy them all on Amazon right now with free shipping to save yourself the hassle.

Just checked at lunch. My Target in western Pa. cleared out the Joes. There were a couple lonely Retaliation figures left on an endcap, RB and SE. Everything else was gone. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to get a Ninja stinger. :(

I didn't plan on picking up any of the Retaliation figs anyway. But I ended up grabbing Storm Shadow and a Red Ninja. Other than that, I won't be doing any Joe spending unless it's with a tanker or ebay. I just picked up some Ghostbusters figures from ebay, and everything else I'm looking at for the year will be Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe.

Stopped at 2 of my local Targets and both cases were just as they have been since the Ret dropped in May, full of SE, SS, and RB and nothing else. The WalMart I stopped at had all the Joe/Corps figures, they stock them together, down to about 2 pegs and the rest was full of Star Wars. Which tells me Joes are leaving because this store never stocks Joes but leaves about 5 to 6 pegs empty where the Joes should go.

Of course they put 'em out. They want to remove 'em from storage and let 'em try to sell.

There will probably be stuff popping up a little bit here and there as the stores try to get rid of their stock. But no new orders.
