I am thinking everything isnt very complete. I know the bottom part of the defiant is gone. I am sure most of the Flagg htf pieces are missing. He just gave me a price of a 1,000. No way!

Defiant shuttle looks nice and white but 2 stabilizers are broken. The Flagg looks discolored.
Offer $250-300.

Yeah, he told me that he really cant move on the price. Said he has someone willing to pay full price and pay for shipping. I really doubt that, but hey, who knows.

I bought my FLAGG for $350 and it was only missing one piece! (which I still can't find) It went low because it was yellowed, but I gave it a proxide bath and could get a lot more for it...but I wouldn't pay close to 1k for that pile.

Yeah, and the flagg is the only thing that I am really interested in, in that lot. Everything else I have, 2, 3, 4 times over.

what kind is the 12inch joe, if he is an original 60's joe and in good shape he could be worth some money.
i thought for sure you were gonna say you bought it for like $100!
I find this thread odd considering you NEVER want to discuss what you paid for various lots.

I don't like to discuss what I paid. I didn't pay anything for this. Just asking an opinion.

Not worth the effort
I'm sure a smart guy like you with your vast experience with buying lots can figure this one out.

$300.00 to $400.00. There's some money there.

$200 is the most I would pay. There are going to be a lot of missing parts. Those cost money and significantly lower the value of a given item.

Seems like most of the parts to the Flagg ARE there. You can see the tow hook, antenna for at least one of the radars, arrestor hook, the mast seems intact. Now 1K is still way too high. Unless there is some stuff in a box not in the pic, I would say $300-350.

I'd offer...200-300..he keeps it in his garage covered in a bunch of "stuff" it's obvious he doesn't want it and doesn't want to take care of it anymore..he wants it out of there and needs a buyer to move it for him...that's you...start low and show up with a helper and a truck...cash in hand...I've been watching a lot of American pickers lately....lol

That Flagg looks like it's in decent shape. $300 is fair. $400 if you want to be nice, and if he knows where you live.

I made him an offer. He's not interested. Says he has a buyer at 1 large. I am close and could have paid him today and it would have been gone today. Oh well

I sell stuff all the time, this guy is attached to how much he thought it was worth before he did research. The other buyer is a sad bluff.
Walk away if he doesn't budge, it means he doesn't really want to sell that stuff anyway. It's probably his form his childhood, and he thinks that the antiques road show is going to show up and polish his knob for keeping them halfway decent.
It'll hit ROSS in a few months man, just hold out.

I still agree with $300-$400. There is too much that has issues to go any farther. Sure there is some reward there too, but the risk doesn't warrant a higher price.
Since he came down from $1K to $700, when the auction doesn't sell, contact him with an offer $50 less than what you put out last. Keep going down from there.

The flag ship you are looking at is almost complete. Most of the figures have the back packs and weapons that came with them. The other pieces, some are complete and some are just missing one are two pieces. I enjoy reading your posts and if you have any questions or would like to come and see this lot of
Gi Joe just give me a call. I had all this and alot more this is just some of the stuff that survived.Email me at koch10301@msn.com

Welcome Koch10301
The items you are selling are mostly for collectors. Collectors usually like the most information possible on the things they are buying. So if you really wanted to get the most out of your stuff money wise, you should spend some time going through everything, listing what you have, list what your missing and what condition everything is in. That way a true value could be put on it instead of all this back and forth.

08-11-2012, 05:18 PM
Yep. You can see some good things in the pictures, but also some bad things, and most is unknown(seeing bad makes you not really think good for the rest). According to the pictures the lot is only worth paying $300 or so tops. Better pictures and description with the items spread out and visible would be beneficial. Remember, astute collectors determine value on what they can SEE.
