Has anyone gotten their tanks from Joecon yet? I'm stoked about the Shreddar but still I wait by the door for the postman and nothing.....aw shucks.

According to the GI Joe Store, they're scheduled to ship December 1st. Since that's a Saturday, I'm guessing they really mean December 3rd.

I've been putting the Mauler in my Basket to order and taking it back out again since they showed up. I really want to pick this up, but the price is so high.

With all due respect to the GIJCC & MC, this is the same scenario that always plays out.

Product is delayed, factory is blamed, ship date is later, rinse, repeat.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if items didn't ship Monday either. Then again, I hope they do as many people would be highly pissed off.

I've been waiting on some extra money to put my order in for one of these, and now it may be too late. I clicked on the Steeler with Mauler yesterday and now it shows "out of stock."

Does this mean they won't be selling any more? Will I be forced to pay $40 more on ebay?

I've asked the folks at the GI Joe store about re-stocking the tanks twice now, and gotten vague answers. The first time I asked if they would be getting any more in, and he said that these items have not been made.

I then responded that I understood they were for a Pre-order, but would the store be getting more tanks in once the pre-orders were filled, or would I need to go elsewhere? He replied back that they have not made this item, so I couldn't get it anywhere else.

yeah, they can be vague and sometimes rude in the emails. way I figure, its gotta be frustrating to respond to emails of thousands of geeks across the land. lol

either way, they have massive problems with filling orders and they probably dont have the answers themselves

I'm wondering if they've had production issues and that's why they pulled them off the Joe Store.

There was a message in the latest issue of Master Collector where they said they didn't think they were going to get the tanks on time due to an issue with the manufacturer.

Indeed. Right on the cover of the insert.

Not to be an "I told you so"...but this is the same scenario that always seems to play out.

Must be tough being at the mercy of a fabricator...but with that being said, perhaps giving a larger timeframe would be better for the GIJCC in the future. Under promise & over deliver, instead of the other way around.

yeah, you'd never be that jerkoff, lol

that said you are 100% right. what I love is that every year they complain about this and neither GIJOECC or its members wise up.

I just look at it as I misunderstood when I asked and they'll be here by thanksgiving 2021.

This sucks, but at least I might have a chance at the Steeler and Rip-it figures.

Now I need to look for a vintage tank for them to drive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I like the prices on the classic MOBAT, but the Mauler is nice. Then again, so are some of the other brands in 1:18 scale.

I'm sorry to hear that you guys didn't get your Tanks. I never did the pre-order, nor am I a member of Master Collector. I've considered joining, but right when I decide to do it something messed happens. (ie The Tanks, Sending 12 inch figures when you asked for 3 3/4 inch. Delays in exclusives) So once again I'm not sure if I wants to join.

Wow ...Mr. Savage dropped the ball on that one. Maybe they will stop over pricing figures and being jerkys. Karma - comes around goes around.

Tis sad...but seems it was out of their hands. I'm sure they won't be dealing with that manufacturer again.

That's a great deal. The detail on those is amazing. The only problem is it wouldn't say GI Joe anywhere on it.

You can always get some reproduction Mauler or MOBAT sticker sets and decorate your own Elite Force tank (that's MY plan!). I saw them at Target tonight, and I bought an M1A1 and one each of the two Hummers, $17/ea for the tank, $13/ea for the Humvees.

There are several places that make repro stickers, but the best I've found are from a guy named Ruben Reynoso in Mexico. That guy makes sets for tons of vintage Joe vehicles. I think the EF M1A1 will look awesome with some Joe decals.

Again, that sounds like a great idea. If you go that route, please take pictures and then tell us how you did it.

I think for now, I'll go dig up a good condition MOBAT. That's the tank I always think of when I think of GI Joe. But then I'm old.

The sticker idea sounds great. I remember when I got my MOBAT. My wife and I went to The Salvation Army because she likes looking for nick nacks. I ended up finding a MOBAT and Slugger for .89 cents each. Both are in decent shape, and the MOBAT still works.
