I was wondering how difficult this would be - or expensive. Ideally, I'd like a few POC HISS Tank tread chassis to stick on some of the Retaliation HISS Tanks. I'd also wonder how hard it would be to come up with something for the other vehicles with solid fixed treads. Has anyone here attempted this?

i was wondering that the other day when looking at an extra mauler tread that i have, but it would be cheaper to just buy a hiss than to learn to do that.

I thought it would be cheaper too, but what would I do with the POC HISS bodies? I'd rather just buy the treads though.

I'd say it is. I know a guy scratchbuilding a 1:18 Königstiger for sale and I'm pretty sure if not all-new lengths of tracks are used they're at least gonna have to be cast from existing patterns.
So possible? Most assuredly. Cheap? Nope.

I thought as much. I was looking at treads for sale on ebay, and there's some Lego stuff that might work, but I was also looking at the POC HISS and the Retaliation HISS and was thinking how awesome it would be if there was a version available that had the best of both; the POC treads, scissorlift and hydraulic lines, cockpit steering control, rear bumper, rear cockpit and forward half of vehicle body with the Retaliation turret, canopy, body tilt feature, and rear half of vehicle body with twin gatling guns. It would require some awesome custom skills though.

TofuJesse was working on a HISS Upgrade Kit for the original HISS, which replaces the molded treads with working rubber treads (the gears would obviously be operable as well). You can contact him & see if he has any plans to make a version for the new HISS tank as well.

I was sort of thinking the same thing, or a futuristic security force type vehicle

Yes it can be done . The casting material used to create what is most commonly referred to as "soft goods" by people who mold/cast can be used for this ( i've used it myself a number of times).
On the other hand ...if you can source a relatively thin piece of soft plastic or rubber mat you can make them yourself with enough patience for less. MUCH less.
