View Full Version : Action Force W.H.A.L.E?

I ran across this on Ebay tonight and it got me curious. I took a quick look and didn't see any W.H.A.L.E.'s with these decals? Anybody have any info on this?

made by palitoy, completely different decals(paper decals) and a different color(I believe slightly lighter).

Hasbro UK also made on, which has similar decals to the U.S. one but has action force logos instead of gijoe logos and again is a slightly different color(slightly darker I think)

I know one is darker and one is lighter than the U.S. whale, just not completely sure which

So are these the right decals for this? The pics I found appear like the US version but, like Gijoeforlife said, have "Action Force" instead of "G.I. Joe". The decals on this one are way different. I haven't seen it before and was wondering if it's legit.

it is. The one with the action force decals was released in like '88 in the uk by hasbro uk

this one was made by palitoy in like '84. Palitoy was then bought by hasbro, and became hasbro UK

That was exactly the pic I was looking for! Thanks for the info. I'm guessing this one is a bit harder to find based on the difficulty I had finding any info on it.

I don't know about you, but that early version WHALE from UK looks much darker than the US WHALE in my collection.

yeah, it was definately a more limited piece. I'd hold off from bidding on this one though, just becuase of the amount of missing pieces that'd be extremely hard to find

The Palitoy version was darker than the Hasbro US version.
