So I ended up with 35 booster packs of the G.I.Joe Trading Card Game from 2004 -2005. Anybody still play or collect this game? And does anyone know where I can buy a Starter set cheap?

I've been tempted to try and collect these several times, but I just don't need to get into anything e,SE I have to store or take care of.

I have a bunch of cards and love playing the game. Unfortunately I haven't had much luck finding others who play. As mentioned above the starter sets are available cheaply on eBay. I don't know if you have any experience with other trading card games but it's pretty easy to learn and play and makes for a good time. If anyone here has extras or wants to trade I have a bunch of extra rares. I am looking for foils and rares only especially from the Armored Strike expansion set.

I haven't played it in years but still have my cards. I bought them to collect as sets and whatever leftovers I used for play. Still in need of a few of the Foils but can't remember which ones right now.

Love the cards. Got a set of both series that came out. The game is pretty fun and the art is fantastic. I recommend having a set.

I just sold everything I had in my online shop to a fellow Tanker. Had a ton of singles and just shipped him those as well....

I knew there were Joe baseball-style cards in the early 90's, but I've never heard of the 2005 trading cards.

I'm trying to assemble a full base and Armored Strike set. I loved baseball cards and G.I. Joe as a kid, so these were a must for me once I saw them.

I plan to use the extras to play with my son but would love to help out if I double up on anything someone is missing.

Here's a website devoted to the game, with lots of custom cards different people have created.

Wow, bigger response than I expected.

Thanks guys, I have about 10 of the foils, most from the Armored Strike series. Is there a list of cards anywhere?

I collected a full series of the cards in a binder and that was pretty much it. I never really got in to those types of games. I played it a few times but didn't enjoy it that much. But it does have a lot of nice artwork so they are worth collecting for that. The nice thing is that even the foil cards tend to be pretty cheap now. There just isn't much demand for the cards.

I managed to snag a full set...mostly I think I'm missing one or two but you wouldn't know it.

I was able to obtain some decent files on the cards and printed what I didn't have out...and I actually did many of the custom cards others did as well...and when I say printed out...I didn't mess around either, fronts and backs...on 110 card stock.

So yeah I really liked this set...not for the game value but just the collecting.

I had a bunch of the cards and enjoyed the artwork. Never played the game though. I lost all the cards...no idea where I may have put them.

I enjoyed the game and still have all my cards. but I was hoping for something a little more indepth.

So I created my own Military card game that was way more indepth and tactical.

The initial plan was to make a better G.I Joe game and even pulled images from comics and cartoon to make the cards. But I quickly moved it into a more conventional military game. It was just for giggles and my buddy and I had a blast playing it. Pretty soon I had about 300 different cards created with plans for more.

It got to the point that it was a real card game and I even made cards that people I showed them to thought they were bought. Friends who had played it thought I should try and take it to the next level, so when I came into some money I had a Patent search and viability assessment report done on it. It came back with flying colors. But I have no startup capital so it remains a sideline hobby of mine which I still tinker with and create new cards for.

So far I have created the base set of 300 cards and have about 4 expansions already planned out and testing.

If anyone has any money they want to invest give me a PM :) Serious inquiries only ;)
