Birthdays, Christmases, holidays, etc... when you were little.
There are three times I remember getting a ton of Joe stuff. First was Christmas 1982 I got the MOBAT and the MMS from my grandparents.
Second was my birthday in 1983, my mom took me to the toy store and said I could pick one thing, of course it was the Skystriker, lol.
Last was Christmas 1985, my mom (Santa) got me both the Tactical Battle Platform and the Cobra Hydrofoil. I was so excited because I could recreate the battle in issue 40 of the Marvel comics.
(They were big hauls for our family, we weren't rich back in those days.)

Not the biggest but the best, I scored a one month old Terror Drome for 20 Bucks from Ernie Brown, a kid who lived up the street.
The biggest haul, Iam not sure, I was "that" kid who had everything (except the FLAGG and a dang AT - AT).

Didn't get much growing up. Basically just one figure on the holidays because money was tight. However when I was about 8 my brother's friend was having a yardsale. He has a little metal box with about 30 figures and tons of weapons in it. He wanted 10 bucks for everything. I had to beg my mom like crazy and promise I'd do all kinds of chores around the house. I ended up getting it and was happier than ever.

Biggest for me would have to be 1987, which was literally the biggest haul.
My birthday falls close to Christmas, so I was able to double dip on a lot of Joe goodness. December of 87 brought me:
Defiant
MCC
Cobra Mamba x2 (Mom didn't know Dad bought me one too, WIN!)
Cobra Snow Wolf
Crossfire RC
Motorized backpacks - All
Battleforce 2000 - all
Air Skiff
Nok Cycle
About 10 - 12 carded figs
Transformers Head Masters Scorponok

Eh, depends on how you define luck. My parents were divorced when I was very young, so they enjoyed outdoing each other every birthday/Christmas. Add grandparents on each side to the equation and wa-la! Instant megahauls.
80's toys: 80's prices
Squabbling family: constant
Buying my love: PRICELESS!

Once I got a MISB Flagg.
So did I for Christmas. It's funny, because when I got back to school after the holidays, a friend of mine had seen my grandma and a JC Penny employee loading it up in her car! He said "lucky dog, you got a Flagg!!!".
I wish I would have kept it ;(

Yeah man, I was a little shark douche when I was little (lol).
My parents finally caught on in 1990 when they ran in to each other at a Toys'r'Us and were buying the same thing (Cobra Hammerhead).

86,87 and 88 i was spoiled rotten, dad had a good job those years, so on Christmas in 88 i got Swampmasher, Rolling Thunder and Desert Fox, all of tiger force minus Roadblock(impossible to find), and all the single carded figs except Iron Grenadier and Budo... The year before i remember i got all of Battle Force 2000 in one go...

Probably my first ever 'Joe' haul: Ripcord, Breaker, Cobra Commander, Flash, Blowtorch and Major Bludd in the mail (old fashioned mail-order: Write a letter and include a cheque).
Then the very same day on a holiday day-trip out, I got Zartan & his Swamp Skier along with the Action Force "Action Pack", which included a CLAW, Cobra Trooper, Duke and another Ripcord...
All on the original red, white & blue Action Force cards. As I hadn't been able to find a single 'new' AF figure to that point, such a haul was a major victory for me.

This was my biggest Joe gift as a child. Christmas morning we got a call from my Mom's boyfriend to go look out front. He left this sitting out in front of our house while he drove back home the next town over to call us. I can't believe how we were able to survive with out cell phones. lol I was not expecting this at all. He really knew how to win me over. Also got Slaughters Renegades and Cobra La packs that year.

Priceless sprinkled with a bit of ingeniousness. :D

A good chunk of my childhood collection was received one Christmas. Between me and my brother there were figures and vehicles set out all over the place. Got most of the 1984 series of figures plus Destro, Gung-Ho, Doc, Major Bludd, and Tripwire from 83. FLAK, JUMP, MOBAT, FANG, Headquarters, all 3 PACRATs, ASP, CLAW, Water Moccasin, SHARC, Sky Hawk, Mountain Howitzer, and all 3 Defense Units. My parents must have done a lot of last minute shopping because I had just gotten Blowtorch and brother got Mutt from another relative about a week before Christmas. Those were our first Joes, weren't even interested in them before that but we loved those 2 so guess my parents figured "Why not?" Best...Christmas...ever.

X-mas and birthdays were always good days. I remember getting the '83 HQ for a birthday and the WHALE, Rattler, Moray and Tomahawk on others. Got the G1 Megatron for my 11th birthday too.
My biggest haul was in 1987, after years of saving I got a Cobra Wolf and Buzz Boar, and other Transformers.

Christmas 1983, I remeber it as it was first Christmas since I was born here in Michigan when we had no snow, It was raining. I got all the Joe vehicles and figs I didnt have at that time. I remember loving the hell out of the RAM and Rock n Roll. We didnt have much through out the year but mom and dad made sure us kids had one hell of Christmas.

me too, but without the crazy hauls. although I did get a skystriker for christmas and a whale for my birthday.
I immediately cut a head and arm holes out of the skystriker box and wandered around in the snow for about an hour as robotron. I seem to remember the box being pretty mushy by the time I got back inside.
