View Full Version : Footloose coming to the Club store

Not that we didn't know this, but the July 2012 issue is here with the numbers:
We will soon be putting the Footloose figures online in the new club store. We will have approximately 500 carded figures (100 that were signed by Will Ryan at the Convention, and 400 unsigned). The limit is one carded and one loose per member. There will be approximately 300 poly-bagged Footloose figures available as well, also limited to one per member. Any souvenirs left from the convention will also be online in the store.
Other news is that the MCAX.com auction site idea has been shelved and the member forums should be back during the summer.
Email from the Club shortly after the initial posting:
This quick update is going out to all members of both clubs.
It will still be a couple more weeks (we don't know exactly how long as we are waiting on the host to finish their work) until our dedicated store server is online.
Once it is ready to go, we will let you know that products in the store have be made active and you will be able to order items from the clubs again.
We do not anticipate that all items will be available in the club stores on opening day so please have patience as we finish the migration from the old e-commerce site to this one.
In addition, to try and avoid a denial of service issue (because of the volume) we will only bring one set of products online at a time.
We will email you when we are going to bring the products online. We are anticipating being ready to go the week of July 23rd, but that could change.
Thanks to both groups for your patience and the two great conventions this year!

8/2 Update: Store opening 8/3
This quick update is going out to all members of both clubs.
Both stores are closed until tomorrow at approximately noon CDT when we are planning to bring the G.I. Joe Club Store online. The Transformers Club Store will come back online at the same time.
For the Joe Club members:
Please note that there are LIMITS on the loose Footloose, carded Footloose and signed carded Footloose membership figures.
You are limited to ONE of each (per membership account) until we see how the demand goes. We can track exactly how many of each are ordered by account. If you place more than one order, we WILL CANCEL all of your orders and charge you a 25% administration fee. Please do not try this as we want as many members as possible to get these figures at the offering price. Quantities are limited.
In addition, we are still adding items to both stores, so it will take approximately another week to get all of our inventory back in the new stores.
Thanks to both groups for your patience and the two great conventions this year!

Thanks for the info. They need to gain as many points as possible after pissing off a lot of folks with their endless list of shortcomings this year.
With such an in-demand character as Darklon relegated to Con-only, I'm glad they pulled some for the members back home for this year's JoeCon.
It's not a Con exclusive, and pissed me off to no ends last year when they made the carded Dialtone out to be one. As if there weren't enough exclusives already for attendees.

I would assume so. It will most likely be first come first serve. Unless, perhaps they have implemented new software that will let them know if you have already purchased one. That is a lot of Data Entry for the Club Staff to manually input by hand.

Unfortunately, the Club did state that Iceberg will not be exactly like the original R.A.H. figure, but Lanny does a great job with the parts and paint schemes on nearly all of the Club Figures. -TFF

The Club stated when I asked privately, that the Store is still working on a way for it to not lockout when too many people are on at once. A band-with thing. They have yet to still get the Transformers Club Store back on line and that will be first. They are still trying to sell the TF exclusives and have not had a way to do it yet.
Note: They said that it would at least be a couple of weeks. Hopefully sooner though. That was on Sunday.

They were still quite on the FSS. I hope that they take advantage of the time that they have while store product is on hold past wave 1. The Club did make it sound like we are getting a second FSS regardless of what the first FSS does. That is good to know. I do think that they will both be a success too.

It's great they are offering this to club members not at Joe Con. I wonder if they will have any of the con exclusives. The Darklon/Sgt. Major two pack had a run of 1000 as well. I know I was told that I could only buy one, got my badge stamped twice (for Footloose and the 2-pk) and filled put the yellow ticket so they could mail it (I was part of the group that didn't get the 500 they had on site).

Correct. It only deals with the speed the magazine gets to your box. It will not affect how fast you get your membership figure.

The difference in the price between a club member and a non-club member is the annual membership dues. Oh, and you get to be a member if you buy the club figure.
All that is to say ... you have to join in order to get the Club figure. They just don't phrase it that way.

The online clubstore will have 500 carded Footloose figures of which 100 are signed by Will Ryan. Source is the new magazine (July issue). There will be 300 bagged versions for the store. There a limit for a member, one of each.

When they posted both versions of slaughter a few years back on the club site, you could have the membership which did not require you to pay the annual fee. You were able to buy the figures for a small markup, ten bucks or so if I recall. On the club site, it still shows you can get a membership and figure, is that an error?

All of the convention exclusives are sold out! The 2 pack is what they did not bring enuff of b/c only half of the shipment showed up. The other half will be shipped later around august. The carded footloose are not convention exclusives but club exclusives that is why there will be some available to buy from the store whenever it gets up and running.
They make the same statement every year about if there are exclusives not sold out they would be available thru the club store.

Aren't the adults allowed to get the free para-drop fig after the kids get a chance? I'm surprised the Club was able to find an extras.
