View Full Version : Has anyone who got the Con exclusives had the time yet to breakdown the parts usage?

I was thinking about this, because since there are many who weren't able to get the Con stuff but may be able to customize some of the figures. In particular, the Annihilator has me curious. I was asking one of the custom cast makers here(TofuJesse) about casting the helmet in the con color. At first glance I thought the figure was just a Strato-Viper with the Lamprey head/helmet. But I see the torso and arms are different(maybe Airtight?).

So, can anybody who has the figs give us a breakdown? Thanks!

You might go back and look at the threads that were created when the Club first showed the images, as that was when people were working out the figure recipes. As I recall, many were one single figure repainted and had a new head thrown on. Horror Show to have different knees and that strange skirt added. The IGs you can go back to JoeCon last year when they showed the pictures of them with Destro if you need help parting out those figures.

The IGs thankfully were pretty easy, as you said. The OG and Annihilators I'm still working on. Good idea about the old breakdown posts, I'll have to check it out!

Reallly though, there's no point in copying the recipes for most of these guys because they are so far off. The shrage is the only one that is close to right, but the head sculpt for brekhov and daina and stormavik are great. If you want re-imagined, just slap together anything you want, but if you want accurate to the comic appearances, I wouldn't bother copying what the club has done.

I'm as big and og fan as they come, but this horror show is laughable and the brekhov too. Whoever made these decisions either didn't know the characters they were doing or didn't care. There were challenges to horror show obviously (but much better choices could have been made), but there is no excuse for that brekhov.

looking at some comic pics of brekhov it seems a more comic accurate wouldve been the shrage torso with the roc destro legs?

While I'm inclined to agree for the most part, my imagination isn't what it used to be, lol. That's not to say I won't make minor changes here and there(some out of necessity, some out of creativity), but having a recipe is a good place to start.

Really, the comic pack red star was brekhov accurate, not red star accurate. The main thing it needed was a brekhov head sculpt.

Several good customizers have already done the leg work ;)

The best recipe for Horror Show is using Ragingspoon's kit plus tofujesse's head with Bazooka legs.

Great minds must think alike. I hadn't thought of Bazooka's legs, but I was on the same page on the kit and head. I could probably get away with not even having to paint the legs. Thanks man!

From pictures I've seen, Horrorshow's arms are actually from the cancelled ROC Arctic Duke.
