So I am watching Superman II and noticed right at the part where Superman crushes General Zodd's hand and then picks him upside down, that Superman has a nasty ole' pit stain underneath his costume.

What? They didn't have deodorant or anti-perspirant in 1981?

No one saw that and could edit it in post production??

GROSS

LOL. I guess the technology to CGI pit stains out hadn't been invented yet.

Oh, and that scene takes place in the Fortress Of Solitude which is wayyy up in the Arctic! What's he so sweaty for? It's FREEZING COLD, lol.

They really didn't expect people to be studying these films on DVD three decades later...

Was it the director's cut? Because that version had some scenes that were kind of pieced together from rehearsals too. The ones of Clark and Lois at Niagara Falls are especially noticable. But overall, it's a much better story than the theatrical version.

Still one of the best comic movies ever made.
R.I.P. Christopher Reeves, you really were a Super man.

I've always noticed that. Kinda takes away from the moment, but still the best of all Superman films.

This is what happens when you fire your director half way through filming.

Why do you say these things? When you know Zod will kill you for it?

BEST Superman film to date! And Richard Donner is a fun Director. I won't say he's a GREAT director, but his films are ALWAYS enjoyable...

THE LIST:
The Omen
Superman I & II
The Toy
Ladyhawke
The Goonies
Lethal Weapon 1 - IV
Scrooged
Maverick

OK, I'll stop now!

I'm guessing the deodorant in '81 just wasn't strong enough to combat Kryptonian perspiration.

The embarrassing underarm stain is in both the original and Donner's cut the only difference is that the original has a medium shot and in Donner's version the scene is in a wide shot.
