Odd that they both when with the scheme the Czechs used for their Hind at Tiger Meet '98.

I have that BBI Hind. I think it's better than the Dragonhawk repaint. At least the BBI version has lots of features and can hold more figures.

I did not to buy the con helecopter. I didnt like it at $20, I sure as hell woulldnt pay $70 for a helecopter that only seats one figure.
I did get a MIB 2003 Night attack helecopter at the con for $35. This thing holds all 5 of the original members of the OG, and looks more like an updated Hind than the club exclusive did.
The clubs helecopter does have a great paint job I have to say.

Yeah. I do like the paint apps on the club version. Although I passed on it as well. How cool would it have been if they repainted the Night attack helo instead of the Dragonhawk?

That BBI helo is bigger than I thought. I would seek one out, but only have 2 rotors and only seating one kills to much immersion for me.

Maybe if I have some time I'll post some pics of it with the OG members in it.

You can put figures in the center cargo area. The door folds open and it has a mini gun mounted inside as well.

It definitely works more as a display piece rather than a toy, but the electronic features aren't annoying and the paint job is awesome. It really is nice, but could easily be improved upon. Still, it is currently the only Hind out there.
I agree, NAC is the natural successor in the Joe world, but I just won't give up the coolest Joe helicopter to the Ruskies!

I thought it would fit two figures in the cockpit from those pics, and then saw the Ebay auction...haha.

Wow! It makes me want to sell mine now. That is good money. I paid 25 dollars for one back in 2006 or 2007.

Yeah I am aware of that, but only being able to fit one pilot in the two bubbles up front just looks too wrong for me. The cargo area is probably close to the size of the real one, its might cramped in there.

Neither suit the Hind...its a monster...I like the Con one if it was a little bigger but of course its the Noisy Cricket(does not deserve to be called a Dragonhawk nor Dragonfly) from ROC lol...the BBI one is borderline Fischer price in shape...

I love the BBI Hind..I picked up 2 a few years back and they work great with the Joes. Its smaller then 1/18 scale but if it was actual 1/18 it'd be freakin huge and look out of place with all the other Joe vehicles. As it is , it fits perfect with the other helos. The sound features on it are some of the best ever done for a toy to.

It was barely over $100 when I linked it earlier today. Wow! This will end up over $200. Must be riding the OG wave of popularity.

This is not sour grapes, but as a HUGE fan of the Dragonhawk, I find the repaint awful at any price. The Commanche, its progenitor, IS a very small helo. All Russian/Soviet attack helo's are anything but. Especially with the Indy Soviet truck, it's just out of place and the paintjob looks horrible.

The havok and hokum are similar in size to an Apache - not as tall as a Hind but still pretty long. The Hokum was originally a single seater too.

That the new Retaliation Battle Katta Super Commando Attack Helo? With Arishikage Battle Kata(tm) super attack ninja star action rotors and attachments? Jesus that thing looks just as bad. Nice size but what is up with those zig zag rotos? Anyone ever do anything about that customize wise?

Actually, here are the numbers:
Ka-50 Hokum - 52 ft.
Comanche - 46.8 ft.
Apache - 58 ft.
Mi-28 Havoc - 56 ft.
Not a tremendous difference between the Ka-50 and the Comanche in length. Add to this that the Ka-50 is a single seater (it has since been made a two seater and called the Ka-52), in some ways it has more in common in terms of function. In appearance, far more like the Havoc. I'm not disagreeing that it has some features like the Comanche, but as a toy, it works just as well with as a Russian helicopter.
