I have the Star Wars Holiday Special on DVD up for auction on eBay for a lot lower than other sellers. In the past these DVDs have been going for $15-60 bucks. I'm offering them starting at $9.99.
It's not all fancy, remastered or in a beautiful DVD case... it's simply not worth all that. You'll get just the special-- broken down into chapters, the Boba Fett cartoon and three rare photo galleries full of production art, behind the scenes pics and stills from the TV show. I've also added a small TV Land documentary. If you want the special just to see what all the hype is and don't want to spend a lot of $$$, click on my eBay avatar.

The Bearded One has doubtless accepted this as official in his continuity, as he has permitted Kenner to make a Holiday Special Boba Fett figure (I saw it in Toys R Us).
But...Was Lumpy at the Clone Wars battle of Kashyyk?

Heh... eBay is cracking down on me... saying I can't sell bootlegs... like no one else is or something. http://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes2.gif

It really sucks when something that will probably NEVER be released in any official capacity is barred from being sold by eBay. I was trying to buy a Gordon Lightfoot concert DVD from the 1970s a few years ago, and they caught the seller before the auction ended so I couldn't get that item. Lame.

I *think* another seller tattled on me... happens a lot because I sell for much less then they do...
I will just have to put up a good "BIN" price and let people buy them before eBay catches on. I also have to refrian from using key words like "copy" in my description. Seems they shut me down more often when I use that word.
They have a weird policy on Playboy magazines too... PayPal will not allow their name to be used in auctions that mention Playboy... so when I tried to sell my Star Wars Playboys and the Battlestar Galactica Playboy, I got shut down.
It's hit and miss on their policy... I still have two auctions up and others have sold those issues of Playboy with no problems.

Bro, you are going to get kicked off Ebay. You cant sell bootlegs there. It is against Federal Law to do so.

Btw, Xerofall, I bought one of the copies as a gift for my brother for Christmas. I tried to watch it. No wonder Lucas won't ever let it air or be released again. Good God. Thanks, though. My brother gets SW Geek Cred for owning it.

That's why I call it evil bay, Once upon a time you could sell just about anything on EBay, then they cracked down, I myself sold a few peer 2 peer (high quality copies) on there, but I've learned that sooner or later someone will complain and that's fine, but if you believe in free enterprise you can find a way to sell (it's not like it's drugs or firearms, my GOD it's a DVD). I read reports all the time about piracy and it's a load of crap, you may disagree with me if you choose, but it's crap, because even if a person buys a bootleg if a better release comes along you'll buy it, the point is ebay has to follow rules to stay in business, but my loyalty is to my fellow fans, so if someone wants a animated feature like Galaxy Rangers, or Transformers, or G.I. Joe I've been known to help.

Oh, I can understand E-bay protecting itself from piracy. It doesn't want to be held liable by the companies whose copyrights are being violated. Generally speaking I do not purchase bootlegs. In this case, though, the DVD in question isn't 'competing' with or detracting from Lucasfilm, which won't ever distribute the material legally.
