Who here thinks that trying to sell an individual JOECON figure (like Oktober Guard Dania as an example) for $445 on eBay is crazy?

Is that a Buy it Now price? Or did it get to that price by bid?

If it included all vehicles and figures from the Oktober Guard I would understand. $445 for one fig. is nuts and the person who ended up buying it is even crazier.

For that price, I expect a real Russian girl named Diana to stay the night and make me breakfast the next day.

Who's the more foolish, the fool who posted the sale, or the fool who purchases it?
Now if it were a Voltar (like the one I'm selling) then I could totally understand it. :D

If someone's willing to pay it, then I'd say that says more about them than the person selling it for that price in the first place. But that's just me.

I concur.
Stay the night and make breakfast? Actually, you can get a whole Russian Mail-Order Bride for that price.
Why is the guy that actually SOLD IT crazy?
It would be if he kept posting it and it never sold for that but otherwise-the buyer is alittle bit nuttier in this case.

I don't think it is crazy to try. I mean who knows, maybe they'll sell it for that much. If they do, well then I'm happy for them. I bought a set from the Club when they first went on sale, and if someone offered me $445, plus shipping for each individual figure I'd take it. I might regret it months later after the money was all spent, but I think it would still be a wise decision if I were able to get that much.

I have seen the light, all of the excessive markup is ok, I am doing the same with every collectible I come across now. I am making sure I keep a log of all costs associated with all of my finds and I will be passing those costs along to fellow collectors/buyers to foot the bill. Its the way of the future and i have been told to live with...can you? Like peeps are clamoring about...if people will pay it so what...

I did just pick up some Marvel Legends figures for a Tanker this morning. They were about $18 each with tax, but if you factor in my breakfast ($7.05), Gas used to get there even though it was on the way to work ($4.50) and my mortgage since I have to sleep somewhere and I can't be expected to pay for that out of my own pocket ($2,600) I fully expect a payment of $2,611.55 for both very hard to find and practically Wal-Mart exclusive figures.

Hell no! No one will pay that much for a figure that's worth $20, $30 at most.

I think the only thing crazy about selling that figure for 445 is the person buying it. But, the value of an item is determines by how much someone is willing to pay. It is too much for me, but if someone has 445 to spend, why didn't they buy the con set to begin with...
