Following my other IG related character here is my Voltar.
The shade of purple goes with the Brazilian version of him... is a little bit darker though.
I normally don't use vintage heads for my updated versions, though in this case I think it worked pretty well ... and there is a little painting in the eyes and beard to give a more detailed look.
So what do you think of the results?

The recipe
Head - ARAH Voltar
Torso - IG Destro, neck lowered down, spikes cut off
Upper, lower arms - ROC Neo Viper
Gloves - Destro 25th - grenades and missiles removed
Legs - 25th Firefly

Looks great -
I did a similar one about a year ago and I agree thats one of the rare times a vintage head has worked for me.

Real nice. I like how the FF legs work with the Destro torso. It was a great choice in parts.

Awesome. Definitely agree it looks better than the Con version despite the fact I like the Con version of him as well. You need to tell us the recipe.

Tks Guys! To be honest the only thing I really like about the con version is the new head sculpt and collors ... though it seems the helmet won't fit right unless some work is done there. I am not saying I would not like to have one... I do... but not for the price and trouble that takes to get one.

Tks man, it is a long and broad torso is really a little hard to find legs that are in porportion with it.

To be honest ... I think if Hasbro released this same Voltar in the regular market (the one of joecon), probably there would be lot of ranting about it...

Hmm really nice choice of parts... and the touch of the shoulder pads matching is cool .. I was tempted to do mine in the IG collors but went for a more nostalgic aproach.

Tks! Not to start a discussion here ... but I do think the backpack is in the right position, the big thick thing is antenna and there's a handle ... I had my doubts... but always thought this the right position... anyway... I have to move the peg to fit better... so now it stays that way.

Thank you fellow Brazilian tanker :-) ... The left can't hold anything really ... but I think these gloves looks like falconer (falcoaria) gloves.

hehe I was gonna mention the pack too as its a perch for the original vulture that he came with. kinda wish they had that in the con one. your custom is damn nice, I may yoink this idea

I like it better than the con version the only it's lacking is the new head sculpt, but I like your subdued colors better.

i got the con one, but im making a better one for sure! awesome, but put his back pack on right, thats a perch.

Some think it is a perch some think is antenna... In MY custom it is an anttena (as is at the yojoe.com, joewiki.com and other places around the internet that put the backpack in this position). The bird, which I think is a condor, can sit on the handle (which makes more sense to stay on top of the backpack than on the side) or in Voltar's falconer gloves.
Anyway when you guys finish your customs I will be delighted to see the backpack in your "right" position :-)

Tks man. The new head sculpt is really good... But I think the club's Voltar have a too much Visionaries look. Do you remember the Visionaries toy line, were all the bad guys had beards and have shiny breat plates ;-) ... They were nice but I think it is too much for Voltar.
