Figured I'd start a thread just for these. We've uploaded our in person shots from Saturday just now, sorry for the delay.

Some of those Micro Force figures look like the concept art figures? Hmmm, makes me believe they might release some of the 4 inch ones. I can see Zombie CC, Ghost Ninja Henchman, Gold Ninja, Beast Ninja & some others. Your secret is out Hasbro, You are making some of the concept figures.

I'm a sucker for stuff like this. I will definitely be adding most, if not all of these to my shelf.

If this is true maybe Budo is on the way too! Look at the red samari looking dude with the antlers

Don't ruin the moment, baby. Just go with it. ;)

I'm surprised there are no mini-vehicles. Either for the Micros to ride in or the micro machine size solid plastic ones like they did as mail aways back in the '80s.

Meh...just something to litter clearance aisles for years to come...they should have spent more money making 3 3/4" characters that aren't Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander or Storm Shadow...

Good eye, looks like a update but that'll work. I still got my vintage Budo. He was one of my favorites as a kid & I still dig em as a adult.

I noticed that too. Seeing that little skeleton ninja dude tipped me off. Then lil' L Jaye with the hat. And the gold ninja. Interesting...

I couldn't help but laugh at some of these. Tiny Roadblock looks just like the Rock. I'll get a few of these for sure.

Good call! Blueshirt pawns, Viper Knights...but no Baroness for Queen?

Haha, he does look like the Rock. I might buy a few. I have a shitload of the Combat Heroes...can't believe I just type that.

No, all of the major lines are doing stuff like this. Regardless if we want them or not there will/is a market for stuff like this, it will incerase Joes presence in retail stores, which hopefully will help get more 3 3/4 Joes out for me to buy

These are cool except for all the ninjas and zombies and what-not. I'd like to see them stick to the core Joe stuff - not just the core characters but a lot of the ARAH stuff. I know. It's a pipe dream.

Yeah, I fought the urge to buy the SW thingys. But they're kinda cool!

That is a cool idea! Hopefully they'll set us up with more named characters in order to be able to do it properly.

I totally agree.

Yeah, I fought the urge to buy the SW thingys. But they're kinda cool!

I got an entire set of the SW fighter pod series one figures. They are cool and fun to collect. I'll probably get some of the Joe ones too. Once I started with the SW ones it got addictive. I saw series 2 of SW at Walmart yesterday. Is there any word on a release date for the Joe ones?

CODENAME: Combat Heroes. More of this same garbage will just be a good excuse for my Walmart manager to tell me again next year that " we had to stop carrying the G.I. Joe stuff; it just doesn't sell." And for the supposed market for this size/type of figure, where in the hell have they been for the past few years? Combat Heroes has peg-warmed at every single place that sold them.

As someone who only collects o-rings Joes I could maybe see myself maybe collecting some of these. I mean it's not like they are going to take up a bunch of space.

These would be great if they had a set of rules with them so you could get in some miniature GI Joe gaming.

It's really a non-issue for these helping or hurting retail sales for GI Joe...when was the last time stores actually restocked their GI Joes?...my local stores haven't had joes since October, then we got like a single case of the movie figs, now nothing but peghooks with crummy wave 1 Roadblock, Duke, Snake Eyes, and Stormshadow...when is hasbro going to realize that troop builders sell, while Duke and his "I get to be in every-wave" buddies just warm peghooks until stores discontinue carrying the product again...if they do get any of these in, it will be the first wave, then you'll never see any more unless you hit ebay...

Don't know if someone already said it but the hasbro rep said the microfigures can be removed from those black bases and their peg holes can fit on regular Joe vehicle pegs.

I actually liked the Combat Heroes because they were a different take on the long time established characters. I collected all of the ARAH Combat Heroes, even the cancelled wave 3. Got a few RoC ones too, but not many. But the advantage to the Combat Heroes is that they were larger and had more detail. You also knew what you were buying when you bought it. These micro figures are marketed like collector cards where you don't know what you are getting until you open the package. This is an instant means to make more money as people get wrapped up in finding that elusive figure. And there will always be the elusive figure because they don't want them to be easy to get a full set. They want you to spend more. These things are a cheap way to get your money for sure. Much like smoking, I am going to avoid all the hassle by not even getting started.

I converted my heroclix to heroscape too...now I am anti-collectible gaming...my friends get into one thing after another and never stick with anything, so now I just nod and pretend to listen when they tell me about whatever new collectible game they are dumping money into for the month...

Which makes me more sad. :(

For realz. All I want is the non-joe ninja figures and that panther! When were the GI JOES going to get a panther that would have been amazing!
I will be picking up a couple just for that Ghost Ninja fo sho.

These worked for Star Wars, but that has a healthy kid following. Not sure they will be too popular with the Joe crowd... do they not realize yet the major force of Joe collectors is into more realistic military stuff? Then again, who knows... this could bring kids to GI Joe???

I'll be getting them all! This is perfect for me and my son to collect together! He already has tons of Superhero Squad, Combat Heroes, Galactic Heroes, etc and he loves them.

Can't really give him 4" figures anymore bc he likes to pop their heads and hands off and then flips out if we can't find them. :(

BTW, about how tall are they? 1/2" - 1"?

Really looking forward to these. Im actually hoping these are blind packed, maybe like the Heroics that come in the little balls for about a buck. I always liked the randomness of trading cards and if these are like that and still pretty cheap I will own a ton of these.

LOL. You must be the type of person that has luck on their side. Anime trading figs are almost always blind boxed and I ALWAYS had bad luck. LOL.
Once I had first crack at a fresh case of blind box anime figs... there were 12 boxes and I only wanted two of them... 8 bucks each... took me 9 tries to get the figs I wanted. LOL.

Long story short... I hope to hell these aren't random packed. LOL.

They quickly followed up that blind packs would not be the only way to get them though, so there may be some sets where you know what you're getting.

I know some people are complaining about Hasbro's investment in this but think about it. What better way to hook a 3-5 year boy into GI Joe? Gotta start them early these days with so many options in the toy aisles. My kids saw these and were immediately interested. I think this makes a lot of sense. Hasbro needs to create a product that reaches to all generations in order to sustain the product long term. The toddler to elementary group, the boy to teen group, and the adult collector.

Lego doesn't do war toys. They won't touch GI Joe or anything military-based. Hasbro could obviously do Kreo GI Joe stuff. But Hasbro doesn't always do the obvious, sure things.

More like slightly smaller Combat Force or whatever those mini statues were called.
