Real reason we can't find Red Ninjas

One of the few figures in Retaliation Wave 1 worth a damn. And what does Hasbro do, they release one per case. I guess the pics show the reason why they're one per case. Bloody wankers kept them all to themselves.

Congratulations Hasbro, it's ROC all over again because no one is buying the Rockblocks, Storm Shadows, and Snake Eyes that are peg warming. At least retailers have 7-8 months to sell them.

Ok, let's talk about this. Back during the 25th run, people said, "Why doesn't Hasbro release more of the army builders? I need more Cobra Troopers and CGs." And they did - 5 packs at TRU. And a comic pack with a CG and Cobra Trooper. And even a 5 pack with 4 Green Shirts. And they didn't sell particularly well, but fans were happy. Then came RoC and while there was a buzz for the Elite Viper, not much comment came from fans. The PoC came along, and Hasbro geared up. And they made tons of Jungle Vipers - and we bought them. And they were big and ungainly and we decided we didn't need that many. But Hasbro kept cranking them out. And then the PoC Shock Trooper came out and we couldn't get enough. And so they made more and more. And finally came the Cobra Trooper and Viper. And we said, "More please!" And they said, "Sure". And eventually even they peg warmed for a while.

The lesson learned: the minute Hasbro adds production to the Red Ninjas, they will learn that you didn't wait for them and bought them from online sellers, other stores in other towns, and traded for them on the Tank. And when they finally flood the pegs, you will say, "Oh, thanks, but I already have all I need."

My advice: if you need Red Ninjas, keep shopping as they made a ton of toys and they are everywhere - or soon will be if they were scalped. But don't ask for more from Hasbro - I want a Night Viper!

yeah but it is also worth noting that I'm sure little kids will find the red ninjas more appealing than the other figures too. Which is also stuff hasbro should consider. I remember my nephew was far more interested in the Crimson Neo Viper and the Nano Viper than he was the regulars. and alas, those were not a dime a dozen like the neo vipers. Hasbro should just make more of the best figures they have to offer and less of mediocre dukes and snake eyes.

I don't know-there seem to be more than a few Red Ninjas in the Northwest Chicago suburbs. I imagine it'll be a good distribution in the end.

I think Hasbro is in a unique position right now with the line on hold. It gives them time to change things mid launch as if they have a pause button with very little cost. It may be that the red ninja sees a little more attention after this.

Also, that Dio is awesome. My son and I want to come over and play, Hasbro.

True, I remember having the option to purchase TRU CG sets on clearance for about $6 a piece, and still passed. The 25th trooper sucked though, all i have i got from trades.

You're probably right on this one, ninjas are not universally loved.

My advice: if you need Red Ninjas, keep shopping as they made a ton of toys and they are everywhere - or soon will be if they were scalped. But don't ask for more from Hasbro - I want a Night Viper!

Red ninjas seemed to always sell out around here. The single carded figures and the TRU multi-pack. One of the few times I had to go online to get them. So, I am not surprised they are hard to find now.

red ninjas are pretty easy to find and i dont see what the big deal is.. i have 2 MOC in a box that i really have no interest in opening. only reason i have them is my girl picked them up for me. come to think of it i havent open any of my retaliation stuff except my 3 pack with beachhead. awesome fig

How many thousands or hundreds of thousands Red Ninjas have they made and released and they take 23 or 24 of them (which they probably never even carded in the first place) to use them for a dio promoting the upcoming movie they are from and oh the humanity! Hasbro is hoarding all the Red Ninjas for themselves and their big dios!

If you really want more Red Ninjas, by them wherever/however you can, ebay (scalpers or not), stores, online, wherever you have to. Don't complain because someone has 20 or so of them and there's how many produced?

I believe the OP was being sarcastic about Hasbro hoarding them, using the dio to illustrate a more subtle point that some people would like more red ninjas.

The red ninjas have sold out in my area and I have yet to see a single one at retail nor the Joe Trooper. Anyways I love the thrill of the hunt but I just decided to build my clan on TRU.com, $9.99 and some shipping, easier and cheaper than driving around and it's too damn hot out! The thrill of the hunt is slowly waning for me... It was my favorite part of collecting but it's too much of a chore and I'm wasting $100s on gas when I could have just ordered another 100 figures.
