There are a ton of MEn in Black 3 figures sitting at my Target on clearance and I am sorely in need of a plain black suit torso. So my question since I can't see them in the package is what type of articulation do these guys have? Are they similar to joes or more like Starwars or the cheap new Batman and Spiderman figs?

I saw them too. not sure on articulation. Its at least 7 because the arms bend and Im pretty sure the kness do as well. My guess is 9 points.

They are closer to Star Wars than Batman. The head does pop off but to put another one on will take some work. I was only able to get J they were sold out of K on clearance.

Is there any way to mod them to create the "Joe" effect? I know I can cover the arms and legs as long as I can change the arms, but there is no torso movement at all? Would it be possible to add some articulation to the torso?

The torso has a crunch type movement no swivel.

these are on clearance already?? paid full price for a K very disappointed in these figs, i read somewhere the arms had joe style articulation but they don't. think jaxx's POTC style. they look very square and boxy next to joe. the soft goods coat might be good for customs as well as the heads with some work.
how much do they clearance for?

These figures work very well as static agents, or bodyguards. Definitely not Joe articulation, but decent enough to buy. I wouldn't recommend them for customs unless you want to do way more work than necessary.
Also, watch the hip-bar that holds the legs on. The plastic is fairly brittle and breaks easily.
