It's actually not bad considering they had to put this together pretty quickly. I wonder if the quality is Hasbro quality or if these were RIT dyed (nothing wrong with that). Not a bad surprise ... Now I wonder how much these will go for post-Con. I doubt as much as the PP Tele-Viper did last year.

I love the "Duke" DG figure, I will hunt those down all day. I like them more than the Trooper figure. I am dissapointed that the Deep Six head does not fit on the DG Shipwreck, that was the only reason I bought that figure. I hope there are more DG waves planned!

They are excellent figures and high quality construction and paint apps...the face/eyes on the cobra troopers is amazing compared to some of my POC ones at that....way better then most of the low quality cheapened plastics of most of the crap from the retaliation line thats for sure. You really should still grab some of the single packed ones. They don't look very good in pictures, but in hand they are really cool. I love the parachute, and even though they are missing knee and ankle articulation, the articulation they do have works better then 90% of the other ME Joes out there. Honestly, I think he has better articulation then every single 25th Anniversary figure. He's just a really fun figure, and a really nice surprise.

He's not missing knee articulation altogether. He just doesn't have "double-knees." Assuming he has the same articulation as the Retaliation Cobra Trooper.

That's cool. I always felt the "double knee" articulation was a bit much, especially in light of the fact that most figures' elbows don't even bend 90 degrees, and that's a little more valuable for posing.

That's cool. I always felt the "double knee" articulation was a bit much, especially in light of the fact that most figures' elbows don't even bend 90 degrees, and that's a little more valuable for posing.

I really like the double knee mainly because I think it looks 100% better then a single knee, but in the case of the Trooper, it wasn't really needed since he has knee pads covering up the joint.

I agree though that most of the ME Joes need better elbow articulation.

I think Joe Con always opens the showroom kind of late on Friday. Saturday and Sunday are the only days that the general public is allowed in, so those are the only days they open early.

For Fun Pub cons (JoeCon, BotCon) Friday is the "Early Preview Sales Room Experience" or something like that. The dealer room is only open from 2pm-5pm (local con time) for pre-registered attendees only (no walk-ins).

Once that time hits, we may very well see more images and information surface in regards to what is in the Hasbro booth. And they will most likely add to the display throughout the weekend, and reveal even more information at the Hasbro run panel this weekend.

I may be over-reacting here but I don't remember any of the con items being this outrageously high from the last couple of years cons, at least not right away! All this super inflated prices on ebay is going to do is jump the prices for everything from the cons next year so you have to pay even more every damn year, even if you are attending! Ebay prices are going to continue to just get higher and higher now too.

What the hell happened to all the people saying they could care less about the Oktober Guard and/or Iron Grenadiers when these sets were announced and shown? Did they ingest bath salts and become zombie-scalpers overnight? I know some of these auctions are actually being fueled by desire of people trying to get the stuff they want but the outrageous ones with buy it nows for double or triple what the items actually cost, scalpers!

Haha, I just had a seller shoot down my offer on one and he said the lowest he can go for 1 of the Helicopters is $169 because they cost so much to get in the first place, what a joke! I told him I offered him 100% profit for it and he turned it down, he can keep them all and rot on them!

these are toys and they DON"T have to be this way about them. Just because it has to be that way with dodge vipers and the way dodge decides how much they cost (buyers do not get to pick car prices last I checked) does not mean that Hasbro/Teh Club can not do a better job of helping us fellow toy collectors get the toys we would like to add to our collections at reasonable pricing. If they were made of platinum and gold sure they can cost thousands of dollars...but that is not the case! its just limited runs being hoarded by scalpers at this point...and that dosent give us much to work with...

really the club prices for the truck and chopper were overpriced to begin with i feel like to discourage scalping. but all this exclusive stuff seems to go for at least double of what the original cost was--so while the $200 tag on each makes sense its unbelievable for what the actual items are. and i really bet they sit or prices drop much closer to og cost

Some of the con stuff is simply amazing, don't get me wrong but at these prices, not gonna happen.

The Sgt. Major is outstanding and he's just a simple repaint/kit bash, but executed to perfection! The Darklon is pretty close too and I like the OG Helicopter (it's not a Hind but it still is cool) and the box set figs are pretty close to awesome too.

The Annihilators I think are a total letdown and so is the OG truck and Snarler.

Would I like to have them if possible without spending the equivalent to buying a small country, hell yes! But there's no way that's going to happen.........at least not in the near future.

I just don't understand how Hasbro can think these Oktober Guard and Iron Grenadiers and last years Python Patrol and Mission Brazil and the Crimson Strike Team won't sell either at retail or as online exclusives or store exclusives. Do they not see the feeding frenzy they have wiped up with these items?

That's correct. But I think in that case the boxed set was cancelled due to lack of retail interest. Not Hasbro's fault if the big chain stores won't bite. I think it's great that somebody listened to our groaning and found a way to get them to us anyway.

A feeding frenzy among a few thousand collectors is simply not the same as a mass market retail release. To get them into Target or Walmart they have to sell to the general public, and most of them would not find these items all that appealing.

Even online exclusives are much larger numbers.

I'm new to the JOE world, can't stand ninjas, but I respect them, just feel GI JOE should be more soldier based. I mean if they want JOES fighting asians why not just make soldier figs and slap a red star on the helmet. I will say though the zip line ninja is impressive. I like the realistic feel of some of them like Ripcord and that one with the modern spec op helmet. What's up with the lampshade hat though?

YOu know what really irks me about Hasbro. All the cool stuff the decide not to produce and all the crapatacular stuff they produce. Those unproduced items are boss. Especially the ALIENS looking transport. They even have the coyote from the renagades cartoon is in there. Why are you giving me crappy brightly colored weapons and giant missile firing features when all I want is a coyote. The cartoon was filled with stuff to produce.
