I just created a Yahoo Group and on it I have featured 42 Tracks from the GI Joe cartoon. Yes you have to join sorry about putting it on a Yahoo Group I couldn't find a site to host it. I wanted to get it out before I misplace the disk again :rolleyes: I'll continue to look for a hosting site.

Someone posted them and another site a few years back. I saved them on my hard drive then burned them to disk in case my system ever crashed. I found the disk today in a note along with some notes for a diostory.;)

Well that's the real trick. I think you have to import it into the iTunes libary.

Put the email attachment into a folder label it so you can find
Open iTunes then click File
Click on Import
Find the path to the folder
It should Import into your playlist

If it doesn't work click the help icon in iTunes.

You'll have to rip the tracks to a WAV or MP3 format to put them online for others to download (You can use Real Player to rip them from your CD)

CDA files are basically just place holders for where on the CD the computer should play. Without the CD, CDA files won't play

If you can send all the tracks through email, that'd be great!

The only reason I'm doing to approval part is to prevent spam. Once I approve it (which I did) you should be able to access the group and download the files. If not PM me and we'll go from there.

hmm I can't seem to play cda files. I believe Shogi is correct. However, I wouldn't save them out as raw wav files. Those will be so gigantic in size no one will ever be able to download them. Mp3, and or wma is needed.

Hey a fellow inventory geek. Thanks for the tip normally I do that.:o Today however I've just been trying to get these up for everybody. As far as downloadable try right click then "Save Target As" see if that works. I'm still working on on making it user friendly.

Since it's in Adobe Flash, the usual "Save target as" doesn't work. :(

Hey Xero, I found that when you click on the link it opens the flash player. Up at the top it says what track is playing, if you click on that, it opens up a seperate page about the track where there's a download button.

I don't know if that'll help or not (I'm at work so I haven't tried downloading any yet)

I also had the tracks from the orginal guy. I believe I mentioned that earlier. It really wasn't a big deal putting them up, so I'm not worried about it. The tracks are up, everybody can get them if they want, and I can maintain the site. Again I'm not sweating it.

Well I don't know if I'm worthy of Front Page props, but I did do an update that I'm sure everyone will just love.

First is "Cold Slither" not the greatest recording in the world, but IMHO I think the sound and dialog is kinda cool.

Next and I hope everyone is sitting down for this and that is GI Joe Special Mission Brazil. I don't know if it's the complete story. It's 7 minutes and 41 seconds it sounds complete, but I'm not 100% sure. So sit back and enjoy :D

Have always loved the G.I. Joe music.

We actually almost got a cartoon soundtrack in the last few years. In 2003 or so, composer Robert Walsh's website was promoting soundtrack releases for G.I. Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony "coming this summer." It said that for a few years in row. In 2006 I emailed him to ask about the releases, and he said they were coming "Hopefully soon. Still working on them." Unfortunately, there was never any additional news. Nowadays, his website has been completely redesigned, and those releases are no longer mentioned, so I guess they feel through or something.

Which is so disappointing. G.I. Joe had some really cool music -- a sort of odd combination of cartoon action music and pseudo-jazz, that somehow worked -- and it would have been great to have it on CD.

Don't know how old this thread is, but I found it on the search and wanted (re: need to) resurrect it ^_^ I'm having some trouble registering for the Gulf Coast Joe site, and was wondering if anyone still had the links for these songs. I was actually hoping to use some remixes of these old songs for sound in an art exhibit, so it'll be going to a good cause! If anyone can help out, it'd just be wonderful ^____^

Im about halfway thru watching The GIJoe complete series, and I cant get the tunes from the show out of my head.
Did some googling for the music score, and found im like 2 years late on this site.

G.I.Joe Miniseries soundtrack
Transformers cartoon BGM
G.I.Joe sound and vocal clips
Transformers sound and Vocal clips


the rest are soundtracks that can be bought in stores (except for the Transformers cartoon movie bgm score that the TF convention put out 10 years ago, Thats out of print)

Well that track is only 96kbps? Couldn't have been ripped with at least 128kbps? 256kbps would be preferred.

That theme is my favorite Joe musical motif. I have recorded the audio on my computer, but can't seem to edit out all the noise so it sounds decent.

Hmmm. They use a lot of the same music on Transformers. Perhaps you 'll have better luck b/c there's many more TF fans out there than Joe fans.

You could just record it directly from the show and put it on a CD. I know this sucks, but it could work.

The DVD releases would make it a lot easier to rip the audio tracks. You'd get random lazer fire and jet sounds that way I think.

This is basically what someone did years ago. It sounds like they messed around with some mixers and pieced bits together to cut out the special effects sounds

There's been a few threads about it in the past: I don't know if you can actually download it anywhere anymore though. I know Blowtorch doesn't host it anymore

I have a bunch of these files that I downloaded a few years ago. I'll have to see if I still have them. I'm sure they're sampled and edited from the DVDs, but they sure sound professional to me. I can't host them, but I can send them to someone who can.

The music in that section, along with a lot of the rest of the movie, was recycled from Season 3 of the Transformers cartoon (to save on the budget after the TF movie and MLP tanked in theaters, and GIJoe was sent straight to TV/video). You can find them here:

Ok, here's the thing. I've seen literally DOZENS of people searching for this specific track, to no avail. I've commented on, and STARTED threads looking for exactly this, and dug up nothing.

So we're clear, we're talking about this track:

So far I've gathered that this is 99% likely recycled background music from Transformers G1 season 3. However, I've dug through tones of those files on the site that was linked (TheTFCog.com), as well as any TF G1 music on YouTube, and come up with zilch.

Can anyone shed any light on this and, hopefully, put this finally to bed? Any Transformers fans here able to identify if this song is actually from TF season 3, and where we might find it?

The Movie & 2nd season music is by far my favorite.

I have also been looking for what seems like years. Finally some one put them all together in the highest quality to date!

It is great that TFCog is making it available and props to who ever took to the time to edit the music. This is probably the closest we will ever get.

If you're talking about the cartoon that came out in 87(?) Then it's there you have to look on the site. There is nothing from Renegades , Extreme, the movie or the cartoon network show.

Glad you found one of the songs you were looking for. As for finding it without a voice over or sound effect, sorry that's what I've got. Maybe you should be thankful you found that.
