Just found out that I'm in the mandatory evacuation zone that is being destroyed by tropical storm Debbie. First thing I did was pack up all of my collection in plastic totes and now I'm prepping my electronics so I figured I'd post before signing off and ask for your prayers and luck for everyone in my area. This is a truly crazy experience and I can't say that I ever thought I would be a part of something like it. People are literally being picked up from their homes by boats and being taken to shelters. So long for now!

Be safe brother. When they tell you to go please go.

Material stuff can be replaced.

Please let us know when you can that you and your loved ones are ok.

That sucks man. You're not too far from me (don't remember exactly where you live). It's sunny here. Got a little rain and it's windy as hell but not enough to force an evacuation. Hope everything goes ok for you man.

Leave your Navy and SCUBA figures behind. They'll be fine.

Back home now and no damage to report luckily. Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Definitely an eye opening experience that made me realize how unprepared I would be in an emergency. Gonna make some changes asap.

In regards to my collection, I think it might have sounded like I was packing up my collection to take with me but that was not at all the case. My car is way to small for any of that stuff, I'm lucky to fit a couple of bags of clothes in an emergency. I just packed as much as I could in about 20 35gallon plastic bins in hopes that they would be protected from any flooding and hopefully float if the water became deep enough. lol Anything that didn't fit was stacked on desks and counter tops.

Good luck, and make sure you put your stuff up as high as possible.

Edit: never mind. Glad everything turned out OK.
