Cobra Commander

[Stronox]

CC here was made from a RoC Storm Shadow Body, Ret. CC Hiss Driver head (sanded down the top), Ret. Zartan arms, and an RoC Steel crusher driver for legs. The alternate head is a Ret. Snake Boat driver head and cape from a Resolute CC.

After a computer crash I lost my old and simple photo editor (HP Image Zone) and have been trying to work with this new one (Adobe Elements) so let me know what you think of the pics too guys!

Looks perfect and I'm glad your recipe is based off just a few readily attainable figures so the rest of us can follow it without too much hassle. Did you RIT dye that SS body black or did you actually hand paint the torso and lower jacket portion? That alt head sculpt gives him a very Mystero vibe...

Love him. The alt head is what I'm using as my battle helm for CC so it's nice to see someone else thinking along the same lines. Cool parts choices. Very slick looking figure.

that is a great lookin CC. I've got all of those parts in the bin & will be doing this. Plus, the alternate head with Reso cloak is a great idea for a steampunk CC.

Love the movie version. I have a similar version pieced together.

Not feeling the alternate head. Not that it looks bad but It would have to be an alternate universe for that head to be more Cobra Commander than what we've seen.

I think that's just about as close to the movie that we've seen so far..inside of his coat should be champagne color and the sides of his helmet should be black though :)

See this is what I mean...I get Hasbro wants to recycle to keep costs down, but recyling does not mean it has to be crap.

These are 100% recycled...and look GREAT!

Amazing recipe in that it's all reused parts, all parts Hasbro could use and how great and perfect they all look together.

Then you add in the really great paint job and you have yourself one helluva custom figure. The paints on the jacket make it really look like leather. Very nice job.

Since the Retaliation figures have come out lots of people have been making Cobra Commanders, but this is definitely the one I like best! Very nice use of parts! He really works. He would look great with an army of the black Dollar General Cobra Troopers.

Hey OX i used the same recipe on mine just sculpted the jacket the way the photo looked but i never posted cause i felt the head just looked way to big on that body

I agree with this, it's a different look for CC but I like the look on him. I've been thinking of doing a steampunk version anyway & that's the head I will be using for it.
