I still think of this figure as a WIP, but I think he's far enough along to post as a Finished figure...and odds are I won't make any changes to the figure anyway...so the point is moot.

This is an update on my Night Viper BAT. I've shown this one before (http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-joe-customs-works-progress/204984-wip-roundup.html)

I didn't start out with the intention of making this specific figure, but through the process of casting and using up resin I made enough Clear Bat Parts, that when I made the new molds for the Thighs, feet, and attachment I decided to test them in clear...so I'd be able to make this Night Viper BAT: Stealth Variant.

I didn't make the mold for the Night Viper Crotch yet, so I used a BAT crotch in it's place... articulation is a little stiff because the Night Viper thighs are much larger than the BAT's thighs.

I'm pretty happy with the results...I was amused after taking the 1st pic of him, I decided I needed to add a darker background to provide more Contrast.

I have a copy of the J&R Bat chest insert cast in clear for this figure...It fell out and I didn't realize it until after I took all the pics...but it has me thinking maybe I should try something like a Black and White copy of the Lenticular...

I welcome any thoughts, opinions, or critiques you may have.

Looks cool. How'd you get the transparent effect?

Awesome.

But why does a BAT need a long NV scope? Seems like that kinda thing would be built in. :)

Give him a transluscent sniper rifle to make him the deadliest thing in all Joedom.

also my 1st thought, other than that...pure win

love translucent figures, and the addition of the blade (and holder) is over the top

Very Cool. I would like to see the ME versions done like this.

be cool if u had a canister of compound z inside of him since he is clear. so when the joes do destroy him they get a nice suprise.

Thanks, All the parts to this figure are cast in Clear Resin.

Thanks... In my thinking, I see Cobra trying to stay as efficient as possible. Why pay for all the technical skill and engineering of minimizing and packing the Night Viper Scope into the BAT head. It makes much more sense to just Attach the NV scope to the BAT head...no changes needed to the scopes lets Cobra save $ by ordering in Bulk and distributing the scopes between the Night Vipers and the Night Viper Bats. Also i think it looks cool and that's good enough for me.

i found this thread while i was googling for some custom attachments i saw a few months ago (one used 25th buzzers chainsaw). i thought it was wicked cool, i shouldn't have been suprised it was you. man you are the man! i made clear night viper stuff as well, but i never would have thought of combining the 2 coolest army builder- that is the most impressive thing i've seen in years, even cooler that the glow in the dark zartan you sold me- which i finally finished.

Your cast parts are awesome, cool creation! Are you selling these at the shows now? What's the price range if you are? Hopefully CTS will have a show in Cinci in Nov. If not I'd definitely purchase one from you at the spring show. Great job!
It was good to see you at the Coil Con, still wish you would have let me dig through your bins. Next time I'll bring the rake. Lol

I want to see pics of both finished customs...the Zartan, and the Night Viper Bat you picked up from me at CTS this weekend.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to showcase the Parts for sale at Shows...but Yes, Pretty much every show I set up at I'll have My Custom Cast parts and Figures with me.... $75 is my usual asking price for a fully assembled custom cast figure.

No friggin way. Somehow I skipped this thread before, but this is so awesome. The concept alone is a win, but the figure is outstanding.
