Gamestars 4 cancelled? (Assassins Creed, Starcraft II, Ghost Recon, etc)

No confirmation, but a friend said he has been in contact with smalljoes, and smalljoes says Unimax's Gamestar line is cancelled.

This was the 4 inch Crysis 2, Red Faction, Assassin Creed lines that were sold mostly at Target.

Upcoming lines were to include 4 inch lines of Assassins Creed III, Ghost Recon, Starcraft II, and Dragon's Dogma.

I think they are decent figures and was looking forward to their new stuff. Anyone else heard if they were cancelled?

Target and TRU.

Target is clearancing out Assassin's Creed currently, but Crysis 2/Red Faction (they share the same DCPI) was still active as of today at every Target store I stopped by. Dunno where that leaves it for the moment.

Target jacked up the prices on the Crysis fig's up to $10 each.

I figured something was up. Ghost Recon was supposed to be out by now. Unfortunate. I was really hoping for a military line since there's hardly any other alternatives

It's been canceled.

Was looking forward to the Dragon's Dogma figures. I'm a sucker for 3 3/4" scale fantasy figure.

The Ghost Recon set could have been very cool.

Just too bad they started off with Assassin's Creed and Crysis. IMO Assassin's Creed is not a game that would make for a good selling variety of 3.75" figures and I don't think Crysis was popular enough to get it's own figures to begin with.

BBTS had pulled their preorder listings a couple months ago. I was hoping the expected release date was just really far off or something. I'm still hoping.

I'm gonna email Unimax and see if they can confirm anything.
