Lee Byung Hun to Leave for America on June 20 for His Hollywood Hand Printing - Yahoo! OMG! Philippines (http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/news/lee-byung-hun-to-leave-for-america-on-024014916.html)
Lee Byung Hun will leave for the U.S. on June 20 to leave his hand prints in Hollywood.
Lee Byung Hun will leave for Los Angeles from Incheon International Airport with his staff on June 20 at 4:30 p.m. (KST).
Ahead of his hand printing, Lee Byung Hun will hold a few activities there, as well as conduct interviews.
On June 23 (local time) at 1 p.m. in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Lee Byung Hun will take part in the hand printing ceremony.

At the press conference for G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation in April, the actor had shared his feelings on the honor saying, “I couldn’t believe it at first and thought they were lying. I still can’t believe it now. I think only after I actually do the hand printing, will I realize it’s true. Making my prints in front of the Chinese Theater is something I never even dreamed of. It is a great honor.”
His agency BH Entertainment shared its feelings on the honor with enews saying, “Though we do think it’s a bit premature, it means Hollywood has that much interest in Lee Byung Hun.”
This hand printing event is part of the American agency Looking East’s two day ‘Looking East 2012 Korean Movie Festival’ to be held on June 23 and June 24.
The Grauman’s Chinese Theater served as the home of the Academy Awards from 1927 until 1946. The theater’s forecourt contains some 268 hand and foot prints of past and current celebrities.

lol even his own agency thinks it's premature. But then again it's only prints. I've had my prints taken plenty of times.

OJ is infamous.
In-famous is when you're MORE than famous. This man OJ Simpson, he's not just famous, he's IN-famous.

What...he's putting his handprints in cement in Hollywood? For what? Playing Storm fucking Shadow? wtf.
His agency BH Entertainment shared its feelings on the honor with enews saying, “Though we do think it’s a bit premature, it means Hollywood has that much interest in Lee Byung Hun.”I would fire my agency if they said that about me, even if it WAS true. "Premature"...? Fuck you.

Byung is one of the leading actors in that part of the world and dare I say it; as popular as Justin Bieber is here. Do some research. (no im not going to do it for you)
It is a little premature for American audiences, but not in a global perspective. Hollywood thinks globally now (unfortunately) and not just what they can sell in America. There are supposedly plans in the works to use him in more films in the US.

That's what his agency is referring to, that it's a bit premature American movie audience-wise.
And yeah, Byung is huge in Korea.
The world doesn't revolve around Hollywood.

Dude is a BEAST in his Korean films, the only reason it's premature is that most Americans have no idea who he is. The ones that do probably just know him as Storm Shadow. And this has nothing to do with GI Joe Retaliation, for those of you who said they were doing this to promote the movie. It's all about LBH being AWESOME.
If you've seen his work for the Asian market you'll agree he's desires a lot of recognition.
But, Hollywood only knows him for ROC. It wasn't his best work but he did a fine job in that movie. This goes to show you how much the Hand Printing is just a publicity stunt to promote an actors latest project instead of a their body of work.

I always find it funny how they refer to his Agency in the third person. He is his Agency. He created BH Entertainment to manage his career and others.

Dude's a star... either you shine on screen or you don't. He shines. You should try watching the K-drama IRIS if you can... he is so full of natural onscreen charisma that the camera pretty much loves him.

Probably true; still a pretty big deal though IMO.
