View Full Version : Figures A Dialtone for a Friend's Birthday

One of my best friends had a couple of Joes when he was a kid. He wasn't a super big Joe fan, but he remembers Lifeline and Dialtone quite vividly. When 30th Lifeline came out, I got him one from BBTS. He was thrilled and immediately asked about DT. I told him that there was an official one made by the Club and that it was going for astronomical amounts on Ebay. So, he was resigned to go without.

His birthday was on Friday. I made him a Dialtone and a custom box (special thanks to my GF for helping out with the box). I'm going to see him tomorrow and give it to him. I'll let you guys know if he likes it.

In the meantime, feel free to let know what you think.

Wow, if that shitty club version is worth 150.00, then yours is worth twice that. The detail in the box alone puts any bagged no-neck Joe to shame.

Absolutely beautiful presentation all around. The box is great, the little pocket for the filecard, the whole thing - just really nicely done. And of course, a great custom to boot.

Thanks guys. I gave my friend his gift and he was really touched. He was really happy as now he has his Lifeline and Dialtone to complete his small collection.

I noted the comments about the collar. Somehow I missed that detail. However, I already promised my friend an upgraded Dialtone. A kind caster (I won't say who, but it rhymes with Balyosha) will be sending me a DT head and weapon set to improve the custom. So, when I receive it, my friend will send his DT back to the shop and get an upgrade. I'll post pics once it's done.
