View Full Version : Vehicles Battle ravaged HISS

This started as a project to find some of the original parts that Hasbro designers used back in 1980-81 to create the earliest joe vehicles. A lot used parts from Tamiya Military model kits, bashed into details, or in some cases, actual use. You can see the parts clear as day when you find them. The HISS uses bogey wheels from a T-62 Russian tank model, and they inspired me to try this custom out, starting with the tread area. Beyond that, I wanted a torn up, battle damaged hiss, but I went a little overboard with the bulletholes. Sometimes with weathering, less is more. I am leaning hard towards using this in some sort of techno-Viper garage dio, but I am not sure how i want to start.

That's incredible. Given the incredible amount of damage, though, maybe a Joe firing-range dio would be more appropriate? ;)

Yeah that looks sweet. I don' think you went overboard. Looks like it got riddled with bullets. Nice work.

I agree... This looks like it's been used for target practice, not that that is necessarily a bad thing!

This is one of the best customs you have done...nice to see it get shown off here. It's great that 18 yrs. after we met selling gi joes at flourtown, we are still friends and still have a passion for this hobby. Hope to see you soon!
