My son was out playing with the couple Rise of Cobra figures he has and asked if he could use some of my vehicles. After my initial gasp of horror reality kicked in, and common sense. Let him have as much fun playing with these that I did as a kid. Plus if he has fun, he'll want more and more trips to the toy store for me, YES. So I thought I would share.

I was concerned about that but when I came out I asked him to be careful and he told me was keeping all the accessories in the containers. He didnt want to lose them. "fist pump" i taught him well :)

Awesome! I feel the same way. Great post bro. I'm thinking 2 of everything would alleviate any anxiety over letting ones offspring play with your toys, lol.

This is really great. GI JOE being passed on generation to generation is great. My son and I share GI JOE too.

I love it.
Just a couple weeks ago my girls dug out a bunch of my Joe vehicles and filled them with Thundercats figures. At first I was miffed about handling the Python Stinger, but in the end, it's still just a toy.

I need a son. That future tyke will never want for joe toys....be my luck he'd be into transformers or something else like that, ha ha. My sugar's daughter is into star wars. Although they look neat, the articulation still sucks on SW dolls (and that price...ugh). But to see your pics reminds me that I as soon as that little dream of mine comes true, I am busting open what ever that scamp wants to play with. And coming from an "ultimate moc collector" that should mean something....right? COBRA!

But all joking around aside, this thread is awesome and so are those pics. Good for you man. That really is what it's all about.

That, my good sir, is an act of valor.
Sadly, I would never lend my Joes to anyone, even with an adult.
My nephew once asked me to borrow my Joes. Unfortunately I had to decline, but bought him a vintage HEAT Viper and Ninja Force Zartan, moc and dirt cheap from where I live. Not much of a guilt here because I found HEAT Viper with a missing leg and a roughed up, loose joint Ninja Force Zartan after 2 days.

The 3rd pic, the one with him and the APC. I asked him what was going on with that and he pulled it out from unbder the bush and took the top off. Mutt was at the back with the rest of them near the front like they are. And he told that Mutt was giving a talk to the others about how they were going to get Cobra out of the tree.

Fantastic brings back fond memories of me and my older brother battling it out. Literally divided our bedroom in half and set our armies and vehicles up on our sides then the armies clashed in the middle.
If we want gi joe to survive we need our children to have fond memories of pkaying with gi joes so they too can pass it on to their children etc etc. Heck some kids may grow up to write or draw gi joe comics or tv shows because they too love gi joes and have been inspired by them.

I love to see kids playing with action figures although I mostly played with mine inside. There is hope for Joe yet!
