Another Retaliation Re-purposing Thread

So heres what i've been settling on with a few retaliation figures. For Roadblock went with the 3-Pack hands, but I felt he was missing something... so I grabbed the web-gear from the DVD-Pack RB and thought it was a nice touch. (albeit a bit small) Feels more roadblocky to me. Beachhead from the 3-pack was a really surprising figure to me. Even though his original web-gear was fairly close to the RAH shape, I was bothered that Kamakura's (Stalker) gear sheathed a knife that was the color of all of Beachhead's guns... so I swapped it back and I really prefer it. That left me with what to do with Kamakura. I hate hate hate his head sculpt. Hate the shape. Hate the wrinkles. Hate the derpface eyes. Also needed web-gear. Originally I had ROC Shipwreck's belt, along with Beachheads Web-Gear... but I wanted to go more true to the V4 figure. Flipped around a Red-Ninja sash, and had an extra ROC Flash head and bingo. The second I snapped it on it screamed Kamakura to me.
Oh. haha. I finally picked up an ROC Destro on clearance and the same day found the Reloaded issue in my basement with Cobra Duke on the cover... so I threw that together for kicks and giggles.

i think i may put kamaura's webgear on that beachhead. it does look better. :) the red nina sash on kamaura also looks like a possibility. thanks for sharing. :)

Great ideas. One quick fix I pulled off with Retaliation figs was pulling the head of the crappy (no articulation Duke) that came with the Ghost Hawk II and slapping it on the body of the Retaliation Wave 1 Duke. The silver on the helmet tends to match his body armor so he could pull off the pilot look. I must reiterate what has already been said by several members on several posts. The crappy driver/pilot figures with next to no articulation that come with Retaliation vehicles is Bush League Hasbro. Pathetic that "The Corps" figures at Walmart have more articulation than these figs.

i got out my figures and swapped parts tonight. i might just keep them.

RET BEACHHEAD ~ this is a no brainer. the webgear from kamakura looks much better on the ret beachhead. the machete even matches the tan color of the beachheads other weapons perfectly. i used a ret trooper head to see how it looked, why not? the DG shippy has the same no neck paint problem. i like my other beachheads so maybe ill keep this as a new character. OR just call him beachhead with his mask off. isnt that the sideshow head?

RET KAMAURA ~ all you need is a black sash from a ret red ninja to fix up your kamakura in my opinion. i gave him a road pig crossbow just cause i thought it looked cool. hes already got nunchucks, a claw hand, and a cool backpack with swords.

i do think its awesome how you matched that og kamakura perfect though. :)

I love the trooper head as a beachhead.. head. I use mine on the POC Beachead body.

Thanks for the rock/slaughter love. One day I will do more pics with my d7000 and speedlights and less with my phone.
