Anyone else feel a little sad that PoC has run it's course for the time being? We got some great (yet hard to acquire) iconic figures that were amazing. The mesh of modern realism with classic character designs was borderline artwork with such releases as Ultimate Snake Eyes, Renegades Storm Shadow, Low Light, updated Viper, the list goes on and on.

I really hope we will get these type of releases back in the future.

I'm not sure if your question is rhetorical or not.

I am drawing my collecting down now. I am picking up the last few vintage vehicles I want and then I am going to grab here and there remakes be them POC or 30th+ remakes beyond the last couple of Retaliaiton figures (if they even make it back out) I want, my patience is draw too thin now. It just all depends on what Hasbro wants to deliver and what Retail will buy from them to offer. Both of those vectors are getting very very slim at this point.

It'd been nice they planned the 30th/POC better...Paramount really screwed us all...I think they should be required to put the first 4 week sof box office revs from th emovie back into the toys they delayed for reparations.....

All I know is I am glad I dotn collect Star Wars anymore...that new Droid Phantom Menace troop carrier thing come swith all those hoooorrrrriiibbbllle droids figures....they look like somehting youd get outta of a cheap board game lol...

You mean the 25th for the Joe Trooper(cobra tropper is even worse with non existant ankle articualtion ) :0 its not as good as the POC figures...the blue cloak ones have green pant color mathcing issues with the rest of th eifgure...I have 5 of each type...kinda irrittaintg they did that...so that reduces its quality below POC quality...not to mention the drop in accessories and stands for both...no...only the Night Viper and POC Crimson Guard in wave 5 of retalaition could be cosnidered POC/30th becuase they were before they CANCELLED the 30th anni figures....

I miss the Pursuit of Cobra/30th Anniversary lines. By no means perfect, ridiculously elusive and pricey as hell in the secondary market, this was the version of GI Joe I've been wanting since '82 - I just didn't know it. The sculpts were amazing, the accessories were detailed and abundant, the packaging was even pretty great. I really dug the environmental themes and vague story lines ("continuing pursuit of Cobra"). It's sad to see them go and get replaced by these Retaliation abominations. But what's saddest of all is that this year, right now, is the GI Joe: ARAH 30th anniversary, and what have we got? A substandard line with reduced articulation and higher price points hardly representative of the original characterized reinvention of the original 12" action figures, which aren't even going to continue to be restocked until next year when the movie is released.

You know, I keep wanting to think that Hasbro has planned this to throw us all out of whack, and truly has something special and amazing to please every one of us. In fact, the only thing we'll probably get this year is the Dollar General Joes, which I've still yet to find.

This hobby makes me want to cry some times.

I agree with both statements, I just bought my 10th shocktrooper yesterday at walgreens.
I loved POC, but its over and now I'm just happy with my red ninjas, and hope & pray I will one day get some night vipers and crimson guard

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing about the Joe Trooper (I haven't opened any of my Red Ninjas yet). He's definitely "POC/30th" worthy, and head-and-shoulders above the other Retaliation figs I've opened.

A darn stand would have been nice, though...

Even with a stand his rocking ankles that rotate forwards and backwards do not work very well becuase his peg holes are in his heels so hes very back heavy, you have to really leann him forward like you kicked him in th enads to keep him from tumbling over. And no swivel in his ankle also makes him pucker his legs to gether weird when stuck on the stands. I cant display with the back pack becuase they constantly fall over backwards...and then all the stupid guns, shovel and mask fall off everywhere...cool idea..terrible exeuction...

I miss them, but distribution was not good in my area anyhow, so I couldn't get every figure I wanted. I hope Hasbro gets their act together after they ride out this movie debacle and gives us some more top quality figures and some excellent updated characters (or cool new ones!)

I can tell you one thing, hasbro really screwed the pooch on this one. They already had poor retail relations with the box store destibuters. My walmart only ordered 1 case of wave one with no vehicles. That was how much faith they had in this product moving before the movie was pushed back. How much do you think they will order now? On top of that hasbro will probably re-release wave one with the movie next year. Wave 2 might reach retail but who cares what flint and firefly are the only figures that will sell and they have all those wave one repacks in wave 2. The chances of seeing any futher waves at any retail outlett by christmas of next year are slim to go f@3$ yourself...so at least we have that to look forward to.

Big fan of POC right here.A great mix of eclectic characters, amazing articulation, and great packaging.Tons of accessories, and terrific sculpting. Not every toy was great, but about 90% of the line was excellent. A mix of classic ARAH updates,a few Dukes and SS/SE's for the kids, and intersting new ideas.I hope Hasbro does this concept again, except improve the vehicles the next time!

Well....I've found that to be true with a lot of my POC/30th figures. I always have to lean them quite a bit forward or they just tip over.

So I won't hold that against the Joe Trooper.:D

Renegades Storm Shadow was part of the 30th line, not POC.

But, I am sad about POC coming to an end as well as the 30th line coming to an end. Hell I still miss the 25th line. Now were are stuck with a garbage movie line that is delayed now till next year.

its not as pronoucned unless they have supe rheavy load outs like SnowJob and Low Light. As ong as the foot hole peg was in the middl eof th efoot it was easier to deal with...putting the hol ein the heel is beyond me...its terrible on the newer figs like SE SS from the amazon packs...plus those are way shallowing...I am working a concept that should take care of it eventually lol for all my 3 3/4 figures...

I think the most innovative dimension to PoC was using the "environment themes" to release updated and specific incarnations of characters that had been done to death repeatedly. Jungle Assault Duke (Yes Duke!) comes right to the front of my mind.

Poc/30th quality is continuing sooner than you think. Having the wave2 roadblock in hand I can say he would easily fit right in. Wave 2 se looks to be right there as well. Start looking at what else is coming and it's just as good: blind master, jinx, cyber ninja, dragon ninja, possibly Colton. Then the night viper and crimson guard. Lots of great stuff.

i put all mine on stands and they dont fall over. i agree about the ankles, i think id prefer the poc/30th style, but its not like they are missing articulation there totally.

kind of a weird idea these rocker ankles. what were they going for? any other figures lines have them?

I don't know about that cyber ninja.
Sliver franken Joe with baby blue highlights?
I think if he appeared in the POC line up, there would have been some pissed off fans.

There was an entire wave of PoC that never saw pegs in my area. Whichever had Crazy Legs, because I don't have one, nor have even ever seen one. Even with that I only ever saw the Low Light wave once, and only Shadow Tracker was there. I would leave to see these pop up in Marshalls and TJ Maxx so I have a chance at a few I missed. Honestly though, most of the rehashed characters didn't do it for me.

I think the cyber viper going to be great and highly underrated figure. He is better then that wv 1 Duke figure thats for damn sure...channing tatum should be pissed his action figure sucks so bad lol..

You dont have the cloaks on these guys, are those all tan cloaked troopers? My issues are with the blue ones..the blue ones got cheaper legs or soemthing cause they buckle at the knee or ankle(rockbackwards) constantly under the weight of the cloak+backpack+gear.
