There are My Little Pony & Littlest Pet Shop movies????? Argh, I hope my daughter does not find out about it.

Luckily she might not care about it right now as her favorite right now is the Scarlett I just gave her. When I was in the "library" last night Ren Scarlett apparently beat up Capt. Ace and stole my Skystriker! :)

Am I blind? I don't even see joe mentioned.

Mentioned initially, probably a leftover from when Joe had a big ticket feature film due for release in a few weeks.

Probably didn't even change the press release aside from nixing Joe's mention because of the film delay.

I don't think they even were considered. "Transformers! Battleship! My Little Pony! ...uh...um...shit...uh...son of a bitch! What's the other one?...um...um...oh yeah!!! Go Joe! Er, I mean Yo Joe! GI Joe!!!

Hasbro shows up and is berated so badly about GI JOE retaliation's delay and pulling of the toy line for 9 months... they say "No comment" and quickly leave the building in armored SUVs...back to the legion of doom HQ in Pawtucket RI....meanwhile back at the league of justice...super man sits on Hisstank complaining about the Retaliation Dealy..."Man Lois is not going to be able to get a Joe Colton figure now until 2013! OMFG!"

I guess "International" means something like "United States and Asia", because:

-Argentina is not one of the 160 countries in which My Little Pony is SO successfull. We don't have iTunes or Netflix, and the only merchandise i've seen is some small ponies that come in a small ball, at a ridiculous expensive prices (around 30 usd). I didn't even know there where new toons, until i saw someone wearing one on a signature here.

-I don't even know wtf is Littlest Pet Shop. Never heard of it here, and never saw anything toy or merchandise-wise.

-We don't have NERFs. I think i saw some Chinese knock off, but they're not popular anyways. Not to mention we (probably like most countries :P ) don't have NBA, and Nike is not really that much of a big business here.

-We don't have anything as a matter of fact, of the cool merchandise.

Oh, we do have some official stuff the allow to sell here:
Enjoy, the exclusive merchandise big H allows to produce here...

I wonder what will happen to the licenances (GI Joe) that were bought this year in prep for a retaliation movie, I wonder if they will just carry over or will they need to be "renewed"

Reached out to Jon Chu this morning on FaceBook asking if he is still involved on G.I. JOE and he never commented back. I have this feeling they have locked him out on the re-shoots and maybe even the final editing. The real question is- is the script being changed around as well. I keep reading all these stories that test audiences didn't like it. I hope that isn't true because this could be the end of Joe in live action movies as we know it!...

Jon chu isn't locked out. He actually talked to general hawk from generalsjoes about that info. He said he is still working on it and after paramount said they were moving it back for 3d he requested more time to do it right. He also stated how grateful he was for all the fan support. There is more you can check out on Justin's website: generalsjoes.com. It's a good little read.

He is still involved. He Tweeted a picture of him editing the Ninja cliff fight scene less than a week ago.

1. Just because Chu doesn't answer you means exactly nothing.

2. You reached out this morning. THIS MORNING. The guy is busy doing reshoots for Retaliation. Give him some time before you jump to illogical conclusions.

3. How is it the end if test audiences didn't like it? That's what the reshoots are for. To fix what the audiences didn't like.

I'm not so sure that the fact that Jon Chu didn't respond to your Post (you being a complete stranger) on Facebook asking a sensitive and possibly offensive question of him as to whether or not he's been fired from a project he appears to have great fondness for, is any confirmation that he has, indeed, been fired.

The more likely explanation us that he found your question rude and distasteful and chose to ignore it. In addition, it is very possible he is contractually or otherwise forbidden by Paramount from discussing the matter.

I went to this expo a few years back. it's a strange place. most of the booths are walled in with receptionists at front desks. if you don't have an appointment you don't get eye contact from them.

lot's of people with intellectual property (mostly really bad stuff) wondering around trying to make contacts with licensors and chinese factories.

I stayed at the pool the next day.

Its not easy to make a bad movie good after its been filmed. They should released the movie now or straight to DVD, if its a good movie the delay will only hurt sales more.

The movie is likely just fine. Keep in mind that if Jon Chu doesn't respond, it more likely that anything he says publically is probably reviewed by a PR agent/paramount's communications team before being posted to facebook/twitter. Legally his hands are tied as to what he can & can not say. Same goes for any picture preview leaks from other actors.

For ROC the first picture of Cobra Commander was the battle heros toy, that was leaked out by a 3rd party. Needless to say it didn't get the best reaction. For the retaliation team they have worked greatly at controlling what is & is not released.

Hasbro using the terms "GI Joe" along with "international"..? Get knotted...
