What's even more stupid is Mattel saying that the switch was "on purpose".
I'm so glad I never started collecting that line.
The fixed arms really make that figure look so much better.

Neat, but too much work for me. I dont really see anything wrong with mine.

Hmmmm, my point was that this is something easy that anyone could do themselves. Maybe I was too thorough? It could actually be done in fewer steps. Thoughts?

Your process is simple. The arms really dont bug me though, so anything beyond 'pop and swap' is too much work. Don't have time or space to do painting/customizing due to my toddlers.

I like the choice of Mattel for the forearms, but I wanted an open left hand.

I personally don't buy the story that it was intentional. This kind of thing happens all the time, including on ROC Duke.
Factory release with armor on the back/inside of his forearms...

Corrected version with armor on the front/outside of his forearms...

Just like Stinkor, the forearms were incorrectly labeled.

Nice detailed write up. I love this MOTU line, but it's too pricey so I decided to pass them completely. I was wondering though, got any pictures pre-swap? Was wondering how different it was.

Especially in this line. The quality control has been so hit and miss. I haven't opened my Snout Spout yet. I'm afraid to until I know my display case is prepared because of the trunk issue.
Now I'm afraid it may be damaged in package.
...and now Mattel wants another price hike next year.

Thanks. This isn't my pic but it shows a before and after and illustrates why it bothers people so much. It's just incorrect anatomy.

I hear you. Part of the reason I started customizing MOTUC was that I was buying multiple of the same figure to make 1 "good" figure and I had parts left over. I took my Snout Spout out of the package right away and never tried to pose the trunk and it's fine. Posing seems to be the major cause of trunk breakage.

Thanks for the pics. Now I can totally see the issue. Makes yours look all that much more impressive.
