Retaliation Cobra Trooper Repaint

[TTT]

Saw this guy in the store and was gonna pass...then I thought.....REPAINT !!!

More of a classic color theme...

After joints were trimmed an all black base coat was applied.
All colors were added by brush/hand, no factory paint or plastic can be seen.
I attempted a Cobra symbol on the helmet, turned out pretty weak...
It'll have to do for now, gotta get back on other projects :D

Amazing work. For some reason though this figure looks to me like it should be an IG more than a Cobra trooper. Must be the helmet.

Love it. As much as I like how some of these Retaliation figs are going old school with the crazy vividly colored costumes and weapons, I also wish we'd see them re-issued in more real world or traditional color schemes like you've just done. Great job.

You could just put an old school Cobra officer triangle on his helmet and it would still look legit. It would be a lot easier to paint as well.

Excellent paintjob, but it's funny how it goes from looking almost "too modern" to looking almost like they should be stepping out of World War II with the addition of weathering.
