What is up with the Arashikage symbol on the joe packages? The Cobra units all have the Cobra symbol but the joe ones have the ninja clan symbol.

What is the reasoning behind this? It just appears to be a thrown together type of packaging.

I do not collect these but I have some for other tankers.

I figured we needed another DG Thread!!DE2(

GI Joe has no set logo in the Modern era. While RoC/Ret has a Joe logo, that is part of the deal with Paramount and would have to have royalties paid on it. The PoC era Joe logo was a good replacement, but they are stepping away from it. The Ayakashi symbol recently came up for application for trademark for Hasbro. They are attempting to use what they hope to hold as a new royalty-free logo while still connecting with the roots of ARAH and the movie's push of heavy ninja action.

I think the package design for these figures is excellent. Simple yet strong graphics and economical size. They're just fun to find/have. They feel special to me for some reason. Between the awesome character selection and the quick strike nature of their release these are super fun figures.

I am more interested in the fact that the assortment number(s) are printed clearly on the front of the package. Isn't there some way we could use those to gain more information about the product?

That's too well thought out to be used as a response on this forum.

A better alternative would have been: Hasbro do what they want.

I really like the packaging, very simple. These figures are very cool and have that nostaglia feeling to them.
