I've read Sphere about 4 times, and currently rereading it. I've read Battle Angel Alita 4 times, and started the 5th round recently.

Howard Chaykin's Black Kiss, very pervy and very noir , long before it was trendy - Now every comic tries to be 'gritty'. Read it now and then, and always show it to people who still insist comics are "for kids".

The Key Star Trek comics. I only have the collected versions, but I love them. So off the wall and removed from the TV series, yet that's what appeals to me.

I often revist the first few years of the Marvel Star Wars comics. These were done well before Lucas became so anal and the expanded universe collapsed under the weight of it's own continuity. Back then the wrtiers just went wild with their imaginations and the comics were all the richer for it. Carmine Infantino's art rocked too.

The original DC Masters of the Universe comic mini-series. The art's a bit rough, but the story is a nice interpretation of the concept.

Marvel's Tomb of Dracula. Still epic to this day (despite it's rather cliched view of England!)

About once a year I like to read all 13 volumes of 100 Bullets straight through

The horribly underrated The Golden Age by James Robinson and Paul Smith.

Marvel's Master of Kung -Fu series, especially when they started with the MI-6 storyline.

G.I.Joe by Chuck Dixon, I pick up the trades. It's much better to read a chunk at a time. It gets boring if you read it one issue a month.

Anyway I love it and I love rereading the Ultimates.

Wouldn't dream of it.. the first SECRET WARS is awesome! I have the original mini-series complete, the 'free' versions included in the comic packs, two versions of the graphic novel (the printing on the first on I got was off-register so I got a later, updated version) and the UK 'album' editions.

In fact, I'll blatantly steal from you and add Secret Wars to my list. It's what really got me interested in comics to begin with, and there's nowt to judge harshly about that!

Oh, and Micronauts too. I think my first exposure to the Marvel run was when it was a back-up strip in the old UK Star Wars comics from the late 1970's. I revisit those quite often.

i read micronauts a lot actually, well the issues I have I especially like the first 15 and the last 15 of vol1. I have been slowly picking up the middle issues I need when I see them around...

I'll second these, especially the JLA books by Davis. Superboy's Legion is another gem in a similar vein.

The books I find myself rereading the most are probably Planetary and the first two Ultimates volumes.

I'd have to start with the original Marvel run of Joe, plus what I've been able to find of IDW's continuation. Others would include: Batman- Year 1, The Dark Knight Returns, and Hush. Kingdom Come, the 1st 12 issues of The Ultimates, and my newest acquisition V For Vendetta. If we're talking about non-comic-type books, then I'd say Tom Clancy's "The Hunt for Red October", "Debt of Honor" and "Rainbow Six", Robert Ludlum's "The Arctic Event", and "Shocktrauma" by Jon Franklin and Alan Doelp.

Books:
I've read the Lord of the Rings 4 times.
I've read the Harry Potter series twice, and would read it again in a New York minute.

Comics:
Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn
Green Lantern: Rebirth
Blackest Night
Justice League: New Frontier (probably my favorite comic of all time)
Justice League: The Nail
Kingdom Come
Batman: TDKR
Batman: Year One
Batman: The Long Halloween
GI Joe: World War 3

Global Frequency as well as Planetary.

I loved Global Frequency. The only thing that keeps me from reading them over and over is I didn't file them away in my longboxes properly. Same thing with New Frontier.

I would love more Global Frequency. Very original concept and open ended.

I've got the first 8 issues of Sleeper in a "read" stack that grows, and I haven't gotten to them yet...that's been a while considering i bought them new...hahah.

Surprised never heard of that one. Must have come out during my "out of comics" period.

Surprised never heard of that one. Must have come out during my "out of comics" period.

It came out right after Eye of the Storm so because of them trying to scramble to figure out what to do with the imprint, it was hurt financially. Most of the WSU fanbase had gone into hiatus as well. It was originally suppose to come out under Vertigo and was slated for 8 issues but got chopped down.

Been on a bronze age Marvel kick of late, my top picks are (of late in no special order):

Defenders
Alpha Flight
Power Man and Iron Fist
Marvel Two In One
Shogun Warriors
Devil Dinosaur
Machine Man
Man Thing

I always take some time each year and a half to read the entirety of walking dead up to the current point, still one of the best series ever.

A bit TOO much.

Marvel Joe and TF runs.

ALL the 2099 books.

Wildstorm's Wildcats, Gen 13, Stormwatch, The Authority, The Monarcy, The Establishment

Marvel UK (from the Original Death's Head all the way through the entire 90's Marvel UK books...yes all the titles)

Thunderbolts since issue 1 on

GL from Emerald Twilight until Marz leaves the book.

X---anything I literally bought every single X book and or solo / mini series from X-Cutioners song until about the time of the founding of the X-Treme team.

...and I completely forgot: My BATTLE ACTION FORCE comics (basically, the UK GI Joe comics before Marvel took over). I have the entire collection and read them all the time. Back in the 80's I took boxes of them on holiday (day trips in the car were all we could afford) with me. The nostalgia aspect just from the smell of that old-style UK newsprint is intense.

Every few years, I bust out my old comics and read some stuff I love:

Marvel's Godzilla (Godzilla VS SHIELD!)
Rom: Spaceknight
The Saga of Crystar, Crystal Warrior
Hex (18 issue series where Jonah Hex gets transported to an apocalyptic future. There's a GREAT 2 parter with a future Batman!)
Nick Fury VS SHIELD
Unity by Valiant Comics
Preacher by Garth Ennis
