Why no 6" Scale Star Wars figures?

I'm just curious. It would be nice to have something in this scale like Marvel Legends, DC Universe Classics, etc...

Even Lucas knows us Star Wars collectors are tapped. He'll save that for when we start collecting our social security checks.

They did start a 6" line durring the power of the jedi line I think. And only had obi-wan and maybe maul. And there was the figures that were on the stands that could spin around, those may have been 6" as well.

Originally i think they did 3 3/4 and 12" to be different from the mego 6" figures at the time.

Now I think its just a compatability issue.
Hasbro thinks collectors will not buy in a different size scale in large numbers.

Probably they do not want to cut into their 3.75 inch figures. Also, it would cost them more.

I'll admit, the "core characters" done in a highly detailed, 6" style would be pretty awesome. But unless they got heavily into some of my EU favorites, that's about all I would want or buy of the line.

Admittedly "core characters" for Star Wars ends up being a fairly long list depending on whether or not you accept multiple costumes of the same character(s):
