To open or not to open that is the question.

How rare are the GI Joe 15th anniversary viper with flight pod set and the navy seal with night landing sets? I ask because I found these today at an indoor flea market and I don't know if I should open them or not. What are your thoughts?

Are the bubbles securely attached? Sometimes they open themselves when the weak glue fails.

as far as rarity, i'm not sure these days.

however.... the flight pod in particular is of HORRID quality. mine constantly fell apart from day 1. the night landing isn't as bad, but the decals are terrible. and the figures... well, they're pretty spongy and misshapen most of the time.

take that as you will.

I am not sure there really hitting big prices. Id open them and unlock the fun.

The glue on the flight pod is starting to come loose , but the night landing set is still nicely sealed. I don't have any other ARAH figures and with the reports of the inferior quality I'm now even more unsure about opening them.

I'd keep them MOC.
As others have said, the glue is weak on these, so it's somewhat uncommon of you have two nice sealed ones.
If you planned on troop building the Flight Pod (I have 4 of these) I would open it, if not, keep it sealed.

the night landing, as long as you don't do too much to it will make a nice display... i would just get some decals from cobra stickers or something.

the flight pod is definitely something you will want to leave in package as a MOC display. it's just too fragile to actually do anything with.

I am an opener, yet I do keep some things in the package. I have most of the 15th figures and i can tell you they are fragile and prone to break. A lot of the figures paint jobs are scratched, even though they where only on display. The flight pod I have falls apart but that is OK I have my small collection of Flight Pods from the 25th line. Hope this helps.

They look really cool in the package and it is not everyday you find 15 year old toys moc so I'll probably keep them that way thanks to the input I have received here . I would hate to open them and then regret it due to poor quality and cheap plastics.
