Thoughts on amazon 4 packs

Share your thoughts on the 4 packs; in regards to the renegades and retaliation sets; comments, complaints, observations, etc.

After I heard that the movie date had been changed, I bought everything I could find in regards to the toy line. Now, that I have had some time to look over some of my purchases, I'll be returning my single carded storm shadow, roadblock, and cobra commander. The figures in the amazon four pack are the exact same figures as the single carded ones. Plus, the amazon figures come with stands and file cards; so I would definitely recommend just buying the retaliation 4 pack and not worry about finding the four single figures.

They dont go in the stands, red ninja head is looking down, and seem cheaply made, other than that, I like

Another benefit to the retaliation 4 pack is that snake eyes, storm shadow, and cobra commander don't come with their spring loaded weapons; less stuff to store away. If you don't care about the spring loaded toys, the 4 pack is the way to go.

I've been fascinated with the Renegades Red Ninja figure. I stuck guns in his hands and re-pose him on my desk every now and then. I'm loving the hip joints, I can actually pose him really well. The hip joints are some of the best done for that configuration that I've seen. I'm serious contemplating picking up another Renegades box set. I just wish the peg hole was deeper...

I dig the trench coat on snake eyes, from the renegades 4 pack. I haven't compared him to the single carded snake eyes yet. Which one will become your default renegades snake eyes?

I have the Renegades set, no complaints.

Edit: Well, not a complaint, but if it had been up to me I would have replaced the Duke in the set with a Cobra Trooper.

The 4-pak SE is very show accurate compared to the single carded version. I just wish they had done a non-coat version...

The renegades 4 pack storm shadow is a cool design, but the single carded figure is still better. The single carded renegades storm shadow will remain my default storm shadow.

Both sets are outstanding. Retaliation set SE is far better then the carded release RB is RB storm shadow is great so is CC. Renegades set is also fantastic I swapped the black saw and belt onto SS and reprinted his feet and armbands grey and he's now my default stormy, used red ninja for custom parts his lower arms vastly improved my mauraders spirit Duke is also a Great figure with tons of guns for his retaliation buddies. My only low point waste renegades snake eyes came with 2 left hands. Will probably give him to my friends kid.

I'm very disappointed in my amazon 4 packs. Most of mine arrived contorted into all sorts of weird shapes because of the cheap soft plastic and then being jammed into those trays. Although I do like the black CC and the SE from the retaliation set. There must've been some kind of error at hasbro,because I can actually pose those figs and get weapons to stay in their hands. Weird,I know. So out of 8 figs,2 will ever see the light of day.

I've heard about various quality control issues, I'll have to inspect my renegades set closer. My retaliation set was fine.

Retaliation set was fine, but over priced at $40. The file cards were a nice touch. I passed on the renegades set the legs on the ninjas killed it for me. I got the Retaliation Red Ninja and it IMO us far superior.

I assumed the renegades figs would be the same quality as the single carded figs,which was definitely a kick in the balls. I think these were only released on amazon so the green lantern toys wouldn't laught at them.

I guess it depends on what you want. I would gladly exchange spring loaded weapons for stand and filecards. I also like the fact that after taxes, the cost is about the same, yet these four figures arrive together at my house, as opposed to having to hunt them down, one by one, paying for gas, along the way.

If you like ninjas and Storm Shadow, the Renegades set is a must have. The Retaliation set is disappointing. The Cobra staff doesn't come with Cobra Commander, though having the figure in black is cool. Storm Shadow lacks the zipline but has his swords and clip to store them, out of all the figures, he was the only one not really short-changed. Snake Eyes in the set is the Ninja Showdown Snake Eyes with the sword from the single pack release. IMO the Ninja Showdown version is better. Rock has that dumb missle launcher and the gimped right hand.

I like the Retaliation set a lot better since my Dojo Battle 3-pack came in and I swapped the hand and gear from that RB with the 4-pack version.

My favorite figure from the two sets is Duke. Swap his vest with the single carded Renegades Duke and swap his knee pads with the Renegades Cobra Trooper and he's triple the awesome.

Me too. I bought a dojo pack, a red Ninja, Joe trooper and a Blue CC. I'm not getting any figures in the ret. 4 pack at retail because I'm waiting on a amazon price drop.
