Storm Shadow with shoes or sandles?

Well after seeing Stormy's latest pic from Retaliation, and the controversy over his footware, I was wondering how many prefered what. Personally I hate the flip flops. I think its ridiculous to assume any modern day assassin/martial artist would use footware centuries old versus something more comfortable, probably quieter, and simply more realistic. But that's just me, and I know many of you would prefer the socks and sandles, so I am curious how many?

Customizers would like a SS figure w/ articulated ankles, and sockless flip flop feet. Feet for a custom NVA, middle eastern terrorist, south american pesent-revoultionary, etc.

depends on the figure...Alot of my ninja are for a ninja dio, so the sandals are appropriate for a setting in the 1600s. However, for a modern setting, i like feet that are more modern. certainly not combat boots (except for SE), but something more like the feet that came on the FF/SS Comic Pack Stormshadow. Or what's on the Retaliation Stormshadow. As long as it's a tabi style shoe, with the split toes, i am good.

He's a ninja, he'd be dressing and using modern equipment, including shoes. So really most of the ninja figures are outdated.

I'm not sure about "ninja's" but most martial artists prefer to wear Adidas mat shoes. Basically any sneaker that has a flat sole with no grip is preferable for striking and pivoting (at least 90% of the people in my dojo wear these types of kicks). So if he were a "modern" ninja that would be an option that would fit accurately.
