just using the wonderful dollar general duke to make the 25th original 13 a little more faithful to the old ones.
i always hated the 25th rock and roll's upper legs (that they of course used on every other damn figure), so he was first to get a new body. painted his helmet and lower arm sleeves to get a little closer to the green on the new figure, still not perfect but it'll do.
for short fuze i painted his straps black, the tabs of his hands green (they were flesh colored and kinda stuck out if the hand wasn't pushed all the way in), gave him a back pack like his old figure, and modded his helmet so the visor would snap on (just drilled a little hole on each side- if you line it up where the vertical seam meets the horizontal strap it's just right and it also makes the helmet fit a little tighter, which is good).
cut the holster's off both their belts, figured on sidearm apiece was enough.
now to get one more so i can retire my pit commando grunt. and then one more for breaker. and one more for clutch. hell, i need to get a bunch more, these are great figures.
