View Full Version : Figures Detailing Retaliation Snake-Eyes

I am in love with this figure (As Yami yugi says, "ALL OF THE HOMO!")

It's my first-ever Snake-eyes (I simply was not content with any of the 50-odd preceding this)

Loving the poseability, the look... but he needs a little something... In my head, he sees through his visor by it simply being mirror shine/reflective. So i'm considering painting his visor. where else on the figure do you guys think some simple details would work out?

I did his sword's blade in Vallejo Mithril silver, but kept the handle black for the OVERTECH look Joe movies make. i didn't bother priming, rather sanded with a 120-grit sanding block until I was satisfied it'd take the paint. just felt that primer would make the pigment a bit too thick for weapon detailing..

If you plan on leaving him as is, I would suggest painting his belt and maybe the buckles on his boots. There's really not much else to paint IMO. You could maybe think about adding some webgear or something. Here's what I did with mine:

That's a good idea... amazing what a silver splash here and there does for what is otherwise a black-on-darker-black design.

Flash washes it out a bit, but I did up his visor, too.

I made a quick pilot Snake Eyes using the gear from Capt. Ace from the Skystriker, 3-pack Snake eyes without the vest, and gave the figure the 3-pack sword set. I needed a Snake Eyes for my skystriker now I have one.

Okay. I found him some webgear.

It's kinda bulky but, to me, it give him that "commando" feel. I've got a Submachine gun on order from Marauder so he'll have a proper gun, that big blue spacegun-like uzi he came with is too silly.

I think I may finally be nearly-finished. got a 3pack Kamakura and gave his webgear to the Mute Master. had to carve the back of it a little bit so his peghole would still be intact. Kamakura now rocks the vest Snake here WAS wearing, it fits his color scheme better.

All that's left is to paint up his kneecaps and shoulders and give him a metric buttload of Ninja gear.
